Then he said,“ Come with me and see my zeal for the LORD!” So he let him ride with him in his chariot.

耶户说：“你和我同去，看我为耶和华怎样热心”；于是请他坐在车上，

耶戶說：「你和我同去，看我為耶和華怎樣熱心」；於是請他坐在車上，

耶戶說：『你跟我一同去，看我為永恆主怎樣發妒愛熱情。』就請他同他坐車。

曰、與我偕往、視我為耶和華之熱中、乃使之乘車、

曰、爾與我偕、見我為耶和華熱中。於是二人同車。

耶戶曰、爾與我偕往、可見我為主如何熱中、於是使其乘車偕往、

Jehu said,“ Come with me and see my zeal for the Lord.” Then he had him ride along in his chariot.

Jehu said,“ Come along with me. See how committed I am to serve the Lord.” Jehu had Jehonadab ride along in his chariot.

And he said,“ Come with me, and see my zeal for the Lord.” So he had him ride in his chariot.

Then Jehu said,“ Now come with me, and see how devoted I am to the Lord.” So Jehonadab rode along with him.

Then he said,“ Come with me and see my zeal for the Lord.” So he had him ride in his chariot.

Then he said,“ Come with me, and see my zeal for the Lord.” So they had him ride in his chariot.

And he said, Come with me, and see my zeal for Jehovah. So they made him ride in his chariot.

Then he said,“ Come with me and see my zeal for the Lord!” So he let him ride with him in his chariot.

And he said, Come with me, and see my zeal for the LORD. So they made him ride in his chariot.

Jehu said,“ Come with me and see how zealous I am for the LORD’s cause.” So he took him along in his chariot.

He said,“ Come with me, and see my zeal for Yahweh.” So they made him ride in his chariot.

He replied,“ I have been very zealous for the LORD God of Armies, but the Israelites have abandoned your covenant, torn down your altars, and killed your prophets with the sword. I alone am left, and they are looking for me to take my life.”

Yet Jehu was not careful to follow the instruction of the LORD God of Israel with all his heart. He did not turn from the sins that Jeroboam had caused Israel to commit.

If Balak were to give me his house full of silver and gold, I could not go against the LORD’s command, to do anything good or bad of my own will? I will say whatever the LORD says.Now I am going back to my people, but first, let me warn you what these people will do to your people in the future.”Then he proclaimed his poem: The oracle of Balaam son of Beor, the oracle of the man whose eyes are opened;the oracle of one who hears the sayings of God and has knowledge from the Most High, who sees a vision from the Almighty, who falls into a trance with his eyes uncovered:

“ I have been very zealous for the LORD God of Armies,” he replied,“ but the Israelites have abandoned your covenant, torn down your altars, and killed your prophets with the sword. I alone am left, and they’re looking for me to take my life.”

Let another praise you, and not your own mouth— a stranger, and not your own lips.

You are to strike down the house of your master Ahab so that I may avenge the blood shed by the hand of Jezebel— the blood of my servants the prophets and of all the servants of the LORD.The whole house of Ahab will perish, and I will wipe out all of Ahab’s males, both slave and free, in Israel.I will make the house of Ahab like the house of Jeroboam son of Nebat and like the house of Baasha son of Ahijah.

I can testify about them that they have zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.

So whenever you give to the poor, don’t sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be applauded by people. Truly I tell you, they have their reward.

Then Jehu will put to death whoever escapes the sword of Hazael, and Elisha will put to death whoever escapes the sword of Jehu.

“ Whenever you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites, because they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by people. Truly I tell you, they have their reward.

So my people come to you in crowds, sit in front of you, and hear your words, but they don’t obey them. Their mouths go on passionately, but their hearts pursue dishonest profit.

God met with him and Balaam said to him,“ I have arranged seven altars and offered a bull and a ram on each altar.”
