Now there were in Samaria seventy sons of the house of Ahab. So Jehu wrote letters and sent them to Samaria: to the officials of Jezreel, to the elders and to the guardians of Ahab’s children. He said,

Ahab’s royal family in the city of Samaria had a total of 70 sons. Jehu wrote some letters to the officials of the city. He also sent them to the elders there. And he sent them to the people who took care of Ahab’s children. Jehu said,

Now Ahab had seventy sons in Samaria. So Jehu wrote letters and sent them to Samaria, to the rulers of the city, to the elders, and to the guardians of the sons of Ahab, saying,

Ahab had seventy sons living in Samaria. So Jehu wrote letters and sent them to Samaria to the leading officials of Jezreel and to the guardians of Ahab’s dynasty. This is what the letters said,

Now Ahab had seventy sons in Samaria. Jehu wrote letters, and sent to Samaria, to the rulers of Jezreel, even the elders, and to those who brought up Ahab’s sons, saying,

暗利用六十公斤银子，向撒玛购买了撒玛利亚山。他在山上建造一城，按山的原主撒玛的名，给他所建造的城起名叫撒玛利亚。

于是耶洗别以亚哈的名义写了一些信，盖上王的印章，然后把这些信送给那些住在拿伯城里的长老和贵胄。她在信上写着说：“你们要宣告禁食，使拿伯坐在民间的首位上。又叫两个匪徒坐在拿伯的对面，作见证控告他说：‘你曾经咒诅神和君王’；然后把他拉出去，用石头把他打死。”于是拿伯城里的人，就是那些与拿伯同住一城的长老和贵胄，都照着耶洗别送给他们的信上所写的去行。他们宣告禁食，使拿伯坐在民间的首席上。然后两个匪徒来坐在拿伯的对面。这两个流氓当众作见证控告拿伯，说：“拿伯曾经咒诅神和君王。”众人就把拿伯拉出城外，用石头打他，把他打死了。于是他们派人去见耶洗别，说：“拿伯已经被人用石头打死了。”

耶户追寻亚哈谢。那时，亚哈谢躲藏在撒玛利亚，有人捉住他，把他带到耶户那里，耶户就杀了他，却把他埋葬了，因为他们说：“他是约沙法的孙子；这约沙法是一心寻求耶和华的。”这样，亚哈谢的家没有一人有能力可以保持王权的。
