Now Ahaziah had fallen through the lattice of his upper room in Samaria and injured himself. So he sent messengers, saying to them,“ Go and consult Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron, to see if I will recover from this injury.”

Then Elijah said to King Ahaziah,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Because you have sent messengers to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron— is it because there is no God in Israel for you to inquire of His will?— you will not get up from your sickbed; you will certainly die.’”

Elisha came to Damascus while Ben-hadad king of Aram was sick, and the king was told,“ The man of God has come here.”So the king said to Hazael,“ Take a gift with you and go meet the man of God. Inquire of the Lord through him,‘ Will I recover from this sickness?’”Hazael went to meet Elisha, taking with him a gift: 40 camel-loads of all kinds of goods from Damascus. It is enough for a disciple to become like his teacher and a slave like his master. If they called the head of the house‘ Beelzebul,’ how much more the members of his household!

But some of them said,“ He drives out demons by Beelzebul, the ruler of the demons!”

Did the gods of the nations that my predecessors destroyed rescue them— Gozan, Haran, Rezeph, and the Edenites in Telassar?

For they have abandoned Me; they have bowed the knee to Ashtoreth, the goddess of the Sidonians, to Chemosh, the god of Moab, and to Milcom, the god of the Ammonites. They have not walked in My ways to do what is right in My eyes and to carry out My statutes and My judgments as his father David did.

They have thrown their gods into the fire, for they were not gods but made by human hands— wood and stone. So they have destroyed them.

But the angel of the Lord said to Elijah the Tishbite,“ Go and meet the messengers of the king of Samaria and ask them,‘ Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are going to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron?’

How then will his kingdom stand?And if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, who is it your sons drive them out by? For this reason they will be your judges.

and a young man named Eutychus was sitting on a window sill and sank into a deep sleep as Paul kept on speaking. When he was overcome by sleep, he fell down from the third story and was picked up dead.

Doesn’t disaster come to the unjust and misfortune to evildoers?
