看哪，我今日看重你的性命，願耶和華也照樣看重我的性命，並且拯救我脫離一切患難。」

他要救贖他們脫離欺壓和殘暴，他們的血在他眼中看為寶貴。

我卻不以性命為念，只要走完我的路程，完成我從主耶穌所領受的職分，為神恩典的福音作見證。

掃羅說：「我有罪了！我兒大衛，回來吧！我必不再加害於你，因為你今日看我的性命為寶貴。看哪，我是個糊塗人，大大錯了。」

讓他長遠活着，不見地府；因為贖生命的價值極貴，只可永遠罷休。

因為凡要救自己生命的，要喪失生命；凡為我喪失生命的，要得着生命。人若賺得全世界，賠上自己的生命，有甚麼益處呢？人還能拿甚麼換生命呢？

因為連最後一塊餅都會被妓女拿走；有夫之婦會獵取寶貴的生命。

以利亞回答五十夫長說：「我若是神人，願火從天上降下來，吞滅你和你的五十個人！」於是有火從天上降下來，吞滅五十夫長和他的五十個人。王又派另一個五十夫長，帶領五十人到以利亞那裏。五十夫長對他說：「神人哪，王這樣吩咐，快快下來！」

在耶和華眼中，聖民之死極為寶貴。
