他從欺壓和殘暴中贖回他們的性命，他們的血在他眼中看為寶貴。

但是我不把自己的生命看為寶貴，為要跑盡我該跑的路程，完成從主耶穌所領受的服事工作，為神恩典的福音鄭重地做見證。

掃羅說：「我有罪了！我兒大衛啊，回來吧！我不會再傷害你了，因為今天我的性命在你眼中看為寶貴。看哪，我很愚蠢，並且錯得極其嚴重。」

——因為靈魂的贖價昂貴，人只好永遠罷休——

因為凡想要保全自己生命的，將失去生命；凡為我的緣故失去自己生命的，將尋得生命。一個人就是賺得了全世界，卻賠上了自己的生命，到底有什麼益處呢？人還能拿什麼來換回自己的生命呢？

要知道，為了妓女，人會卑賤如一塊餅；而通姦的女人，會獵取寶貴的性命。

在耶和華的眼中，他忠信者的死是寶貴的。
