begging us with much urging for the favor of participation in the support of the saints,

以再三再四的懇請求我們、讓他們將恩惠和團契捐去供應聖徒的需要。

用許多乞求的話，懇請我們在對聖徒的服事上給與他們恩准和分享的機會；

懇求我儕、俾與於供事聖徒之恩、

殷勤求我、納其所捐者、即施濟聖徒之金、

彼殷勤求我與之共事、納其所捐之貲、以濟聖徒、

彼等且再三懇求吾儕、准其同享賑濟聖徒之特恩；

they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the Lord’s people.

they begged us for the chance to share in serving the Lord’s people in that way.

begging us earnestly for the favor of taking part in the relief of the saints—

They begged us again and again for the privilege of sharing in the gift for the believers in Jerusalem.

they begged us earnestly for the privilege of sharing in the ministry to the saints,

imploring us with much urgency that we would receive the gift and the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.

beseeching us with much entreaty in regard of this grace and the fellowship in the ministering to the saints:

they begged us insistently for the privilege of sharing in the ministry to the saints,

Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and[ take upon us] the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.

begging us with great earnestness for the blessing and fellowship of helping the saints.

begging us with much entreaty to receive this grace and the fellowship in the service to the saints.

Now after several years I came to bring charitable gifts to my nation and to present offerings,

When I arrive, whomever you approve, I will send them with letters to take your gift to Jerusalem;and if it is appropriate for me to go also, they will go with me.

For it is superfluous for me to write to you about this ministry to the saints;

but now, I am going to Jerusalem, serving the saints.For Macedonia and Achaia have been pleased to make a contribution for the poor among the saints in Jerusalem.

For you always have the poor with you, and whenever you want, you can do good to them; but you do not always have Me.

Then he returned to the man of God with all his company, and came and stood before him. And he said,“ Behold now, I know that there is no God in all the earth, except in Israel; so please accept a gift from your servant now.”But he said,“ As surely as the Lord lives, before whom I stand, I will accept nothing.” And he urged him to accept it, but he refused.

Now at this time, as the disciples were increasing in number, a complaint developed on the part of the Hellenistic Jews against the native Hebrews, because their widows were being overlooked in the daily serving of food.So the twelve summoned the congregation of the disciples and said,“ It is not desirable for us to neglect the word of God in order to serve tables.Instead, brothers and sisters, select from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we may put in charge of this task.But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”The announcement found approval with the whole congregation; and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit, and Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas, a proselyte from Antioch.And they brought these men before the apostles; and after praying, they laid their hands on them.The word of God kept spreading; and the number of the disciples continued to increase greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were becoming obedient to the faith.

They only asked us to remember the poor— the very thing I also was eager to do.

Now I urge you, brothers and sisters: you know the household of Stephanas, that they are the first fruits of Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to ministry to the saints;

And the King will answer and say to them,‘ Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it for one of the least of these brothers or sisters of Mine, you did it for Me.’

So Peter got ready and went with them. When he arrived, they brought him into the room upstairs; and all the widows stood beside him, weeping and showing all the tunics and garments that Dorcas used to make while she was with them.But Peter sent them all out and knelt down and prayed, and turning to the body, he said,“ Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up.And he gave her his hand and raised her up; and calling the saints and widows, he presented her alive.

For whoever does the will of My Father who is in heaven, he is My brother, and sister, and mother.”

Jacob said,“ No, please, if now I have found favor in your sight, then accept my gift from my hand, for I see your face as one sees the face of God, and you have received me favorably.Please accept my gift which has been brought to you, because God has dealt graciously with me and because I have plenty.” So he urged him, and he accepted it.

Then they themselves also will answer,‘ Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or as a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not take care of You?’Then He will answer them,‘ Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it for one of the least of these, you did not do it for Me, either.’

because I hear of your love and of the faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints;and I pray that the fellowship of your faith may become effective through the knowledge of every good thing which is in you for the sake of Christ.

For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love which you have shown toward His name, by having served and by still serving the saints.

having a reputation for good works; and if she has brought up children, if she has shown hospitality to strangers, if she has washed the saints’ feet, if she has assisted those in distress, and if she has devoted herself to every good work.

For the ministry of this service is not only fully supplying the needs of the saints, but is also overflowing through many thanksgivings to God.Because of the proof given by this ministry, they will glorify God for your obedience to your confession of the gospel of Christ and for the liberality of your contribution to them and to all,while they also, by prayer on your behalf, yearn for you because of the surpassing grace of God in you.

So then, while we have opportunity, let’s do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.

that I may be rescued from those who are disobedient in Judea, and that my service for Jerusalem may prove acceptable to the saints;

We have sent along with him the brother whose fame in the things of the gospel has spread through all the churches;and not only that, but he has also been appointed by the churches to travel with us in this gracious work, which is being administered by us for the glory of the Lord Himself, and to show our readiness,

And to the extent that any of the disciples had means, each of them determined to send a contribution for the relief of the brothers and sisters living in Judea.

And whoever gives one of these little ones just a cup of cold water to drink in the name of a disciple, truly I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.”

So when Jesus saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing nearby, He* said to His mother,“ Woman, behold, your son!”Then He* said to the disciple,“ Behold, your mother!” And from that hour the disciple took her into his own household.

Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I directed the churches of Galatia, so you are to do as well.

Now when she and her household had been baptized, she urged us, saying,“ If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house and stay.” And she prevailed upon us.
