For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.

The message we preach is not about ourselves. Our message is about Jesus Christ. We say that he is Lord. And we say that we serve you because of Jesus.

For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.

You see, we don’t go around preaching about ourselves. We preach that Jesus Christ is Lord, and we ourselves are your servants for Jesus’ sake.

whose mouths must be stopped: men who overthrow whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for dishonest gain’s sake.

When Peter entered, Cornelius met him, fell down at his feet, and worshiped him.But Peter raised him up, saying,“ Stand up! I myself am also a man.”

For if we live, we live to the Lord. Or if we die, we die to the Lord. If therefore we live or die, we are the Lord’s.For to this end Christ died, rose, and lived again, that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living.

For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don’t use your freedom for gain to the flesh, but through love be servants to one another.

Some indeed preach Christ even out of envy and strife, and some also out of good will.

The word which he sent to the children of Israel, preaching good news of peace by Jesus Christ— he is Lord of all—

He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory, but he who seeks the glory of him who sent him is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.

The first man is of the earth, made of dust. The second man is the Lord from heaven.

We also are men of like passions with you, and bring you good news, that you should turn from these vain things to the living God, who made the sky, the earth, the sea, and all that is in them;

Therefore I make known to you that no man speaking by God’s Spirit says,“ Jesus is accursed.” No one can say,“ Jesus is Lord,” but by the Holy Spirit.

But Jesus summoned them, and said,“ You know that the rulers of the nations lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them.It shall not be so among you, but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant.Whoever desires to be first among you shall be your bondservant,

yet to us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we live through him.

I indeed baptize you in water for repentance, but he who comes after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit.

even as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of the many, that they may be saved.
