So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

So we don’t spend all our time looking at what we can see. Instead, we look at what we can’t see. That’s because what can be seen lasts only a short time. But what can’t be seen will last forever.

因為我們行事是憑著信心，不是憑著眼見），

我們得救時就存著這盼望；但是看得見的盼望不是盼望，因為誰會盼望自己看見了的呢？但如果我們盼望沒有看見的，就會耐心地熱切期待。

信就是對所盼望的事的把握，是還看不見之事的明證。

這些人都是存著信心死了的，還沒有得著所應許的，只不過是從遠處看見，就表示歡迎，又承認他們在世上是異鄉人，是客旅。

原來世上的一切，就如肉體的私慾，眼目的私慾和今生的驕傲，都不是出於父，而是從世界來的。這世界和世上的私慾都要漸漸過去，但那遵行神旨意的卻存到永遠。

他應許給我們的，就是永遠的生命。

他寧願選擇和神的子民一同受苦，也不肯享受罪惡中暫時的快樂。在他看來，為著基督受的凌辱，比埃及的財物更寶貴，因為他注視將來的賞賜。因著信，他離開了埃及，不怕王的忿怒；因為他堅定不移，就像看見了人不能看見的神。

專一注視耶穌，就是那位信心的創造者和完成者。他因為那擺在面前的喜樂，就忍受了十字架，輕看了羞辱，現在就坐在神寶座的右邊。這位忍受罪人那樣頂撞的耶穌，你們要仔細思想，免得疲倦灰心。

他們要進入永遠的刑罰，義人卻要進入永生。”

願我們的主耶穌基督自己，和那愛我們、開恩把永遠的安慰和美好的盼望賜給我們的父神，

贖罪祭牲的脂肪，他要焚燒在祭壇上。那送走歸阿撒瀉勒的山羊的人，要洗淨自己的衣服，用水洗身，然後才可以進到營裡。
