就算我誇口，也不算狂妄，因為我所說的都是實話。只是我不會這樣做，恐怕有人把我看得太高，超過了他對我的所見所聞。

我就是愿意夸口也不算狂，因为我必说实话；只是我禁止不说，恐怕有人把我看高了，过于他在我身上所看见所听见的。

即誇亦不為愚、以我所言者真也、但我自戒、恐人過其所見所聞於我者而擬我、

即誇亦不為狂、我言乃真、但余不言、恐人謂我過於所見所聞、

若欲自誇、亦不為狂、蓋我言乃真、但我自禁不言、恐有人以為我逾於所見於我、所聞於我者、

吾即欲誇、亦不致為狂妄、以所言皆實耳。然吾不欲多言、恐人之視我太高、超乎所見所聞於吾者。

Even if I should choose to boast, I would not be a fool, because I would be speaking the truth. But I refrain, so no one will think more of me than is warranted by what I do or say,

Suppose I decide to brag. That would not make me a fool, because I would be telling the truth. But I don’t brag, so that no one will think more of me than they should. People should judge me by what I do and say.

though if I should wish to boast, I would not be a fool, for I would be speaking the truth; But I refrain from it, so that no one may think more of me than he sees in me or hears from me.

If I wanted to boast, I would be no fool in doing so, because I would be telling the truth. But I won’t do it, because I don’t want anyone to give me credit beyond what they can see in my life or hear in my message,

我再說，誰也別把我當作傻瓜。如果你們真的當我是傻瓜，就把我當傻瓜看待吧！好讓我也能說幾句自誇的話。

我成了「傻瓜」是被你們逼的！你們本該稱許我才對。我雖然算不了什麼，卻沒有一點比不上那些「超級使徒」。

為了使我不至於因所受的啟示太大而自高，有一根「刺」在我身上，就是有撒旦的爪牙攻擊我，免得我驕傲自大。

主耶穌的父——永受稱頌的上帝知道我不撒謊。

我說的都是實情，誰能否認？誰能證明我的話是空談？」

因為我們是上帝的同工，你們是上帝的園地和建築。我照著上帝賜給我的恩典，好像一位有智慧的建築師打穩了根基，然後讓其他的工人在上面建造。但每個人建造的時候要小心，

我在基督裡說真話，絕無謊言。我被聖靈感動的良心可以作證，

如果我們瘋狂，那是為了上帝；如果我們清醒，那是為了你們。

因為主賜給我們權柄是為了造就你們，不是為了毀壞你們，就算我為這權柄稍微誇口，也不會感到羞愧。我不想你們認為我寫信是要威嚇你們。因為有人說：「他信中的話有分量，很嚴厲，他本人卻軟弱無能，言語粗俗。」

亞波羅算什麼？保羅算什麼？我們不過是上帝的僕人，各人照著主所賜的才幹引導你們信靠上帝。

我在信實的上帝面前保證：我們對你們說的話絕不會忽是忽非！
