吾為基督、以荏弱、凌辱、災害、窘逐、阨窮、為喜、蓋吾柔時反能矣、

我为基督的缘故，就以软弱、凌辱、急难、逼迫、困苦为可喜乐的；因我什么时候软弱，什么时候就刚强了。

为基督的缘故，我以软弱、凌辱、艰难、迫害、困苦为可喜乐的事；因为我什么时候软弱，什么时候就刚强了。

因此，为了基督的缘故，我欣然面对软弱、凌辱、迫害、艰难和困苦，因为我软弱的时候也正是我刚强的时候。

故此我為基督的緣故、就以種種的軟弱、凌辱、艱難、逼迫和困迫、為可喜悅；因為我甚麼時候軟弱，我甚麼時候就有能力而剛強。

所以，為了基督的緣故，我在那些軟弱中、凌辱中、艱難中、在逼迫和困苦中，都感到喜悅；因為我什麼時候軟弱，什麼時候就剛強了。

我為基督、以荏弱、凌辱、空乏、窘逐、阨窮為喜、蓋我弱時則強焉、○

是以我為基督、以荏弱、凌辱、患難、窘逐、困苦為樂、蓋我弱時反強矣、

吾為基督之故、凡肉體之柔弱、以及一切侮辱、艱難、窘迫、困苦、皆所甘受。蓋吾之弱、正吾之所以強也。

That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Because of how I suffered for Christ, I’m glad that I am weak. I am glad in hard times. I am glad when people say mean things about me. I am glad when things are difficult. And I am glad when people make me suffer. When I am weak, I am strong.

For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

So I take pleasure in weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and in difficulties, for the sake of Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Therefore I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in distresses, in persecutions, in difficulties, in behalf of Christ; for when I am weak, then I am strong.

Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Wherefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

So I take pleasure in weaknesses, insults, catastrophes, persecutions, and in pressures, because of Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

Therefore I am content with weaknesses, with insults, with troubles, with persecutions and difficulties for the sake of Christ, for whenever I am weak, then I am strong.

Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, and in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong.

主曰、吾恩與爾足矣、人益柔、則吾之能益彰、故余欣然、寧誇吾柔、使基督之能庇我、

今而後、兄弟賴主大力當剛健、

昔基督柔、被釘十字架、賴上帝能而復生、我濟宗基督亦柔、賴上帝能、必與之生於爾中、

不第此、所喜又在患難、蓋知患難生強忍、

兄弟歷試諸艱、當以為喜、

因此歡樂、今爾若當歷艱難、鬱伊祗俄頃間、使爾信主、見試而彌堅、非若金、一經煆煉、漸即消磨者可比、待耶穌基督顯日、得頌美尊榮、

蓋今時、即遘艱辛、亦為甚微、越至於後、得享至大悠久之榮、

我儕臨難時、得其慰、使我受上帝慰、因以慰遭難者、

而以吾行事、自薦為上帝僕、有若多忍、患難、災害、阨窮、

一人為眾死、則生者不可為己、必為代我死而甦之主、

我儕緣基督若愚、爾宗基督若智、我儕則柔、而爾則強、我儕則辱、而爾則榮、

人緣我名、以是加爾、不識遣我者故也、

我柔、而爾有能、則喜、余所願者、爾德備也、

為人子、而人憎爾、絕爾、詬爾、惡爾名、如惡惡臭、即福矣、

使徒離會所、皆喜、以為耶穌名而受辱、實榮我焉、

爾為我名、含忍雍容而不倦、

爾於窘逐患難間、恆忍、信主、故我儕於上帝諸會前譽爾、

緣爾受苦、反以為喜、會為基督身、我欲益會、故我為基督而當受之難、無不盡受、

彼基督僕、而余言若狂、我有大於此者、我愈賢勞、愈受箠楚、繫獄者屢矣、瀕死者屢矣、猶太人五次鞭我、每四十減一、余三次受杖、一次石擊、三次舟壞、一日一夜、余在深海、常為旅、於河流而危、遭寇而危、遇同宗而危、在異邦而危、邑中野外而危、航海而危、偽兄弟中而危、勤勞而苦、屢不寢、饑而渴、常禁食、寒而裸、此外事也、若諸會之事、則又余日所關心、誰信不篤、而余不體之乎、誰棄信、而我心不如焚乎、若我當誇、必誇我柔、

爾曹宗基督、不第信之、且為之受苦、皆由上帝所賜、

我常患難而不阨窮、顛連而不失望、見逐而不遺、隕越而不斃、吾身每日冒死、如主耶穌、俾耶穌之生、亦顯於吾身、吾生焉、緣耶穌常冒死、俾耶穌之生、因我易朽之體面顯、

我傳道不言己、乃言耶穌基督為主、緣耶穌為爾僕、

見納者非自許、乃主所許焉、

當喜共基督受苦、則基督顯榮時、爾歡欣鼓舞可知也、爾為基督名見詬、則有福矣、煥乎上帝之神牖爾衷、人謗讟基督、而爾稱讚之、

誰能絕我於基督之愛、或患難、或阨窮、或窘逐、或饑餓、裸裎、或艱危、白刃乎、如經云、我緣主終日見殺、如羊就死地、然我賴愛我者、故勝諸事而有餘、蓋我知或死生、或天使、或執政、或有能、或今時將來、或高卑受造之物、皆不能絕我於上帝之愛、要惟賴吾主耶穌基督為然、

以爾之信為祀事、以我之血為灌奠以配之、我樂此、而與爾同樂、爾樂此、亦與我同樂、

我侃侃與爾言、我甚讚爾、我患難中、無任安慰、無任喜樂、
