所以，你們應該彼此勸慰，互相造就，正如你們一向所行的。

你們的神說：“你們要安慰，要安慰我的子民！

所以，你們要把下垂的手和發軟的腿挺直起來；

我要請求父，他就會賜給你們另一位保惠師，使他跟你們永遠在一起。

你是我藏身之處，你必保護我脫離患難，以得救的歡呼四面環繞我。（細拉）

我的心要因耶和華誇耀，困苦的人聽見了就喜樂。你們要跟我一起尊耶和華為大，我們來一同高舉他的名。我曾求問耶和華，他應允了我，救我脫離一切恐懼。人仰望他，就有光彩，他們的臉必不蒙羞。我這困苦人呼求，耶和華就垂聽，拯救我脫離一切患難。

到那日，你必說：“耶和華啊！我要稱謝你，因為你雖曾向我發怒，你的怒氣卻已轉消，你又安慰了我。

所有敬畏神的人哪！你們都要來聽，我要述說他為我所行的事。

因為耶和華這樣說：“看哪！我必使平安達到她那裡，好像江河一樣，使列國的財寶達到她那裡，如同漲溢的河流一般；你們要吮奶，你們必被抱在懷中，撫弄在膝上。人怎樣受他母親的安慰，我也怎樣安慰你們；你們要在耶路撒冷得安慰。”你們看見了，就心裡快樂，你們的骨頭必像嫩草一樣長起來，耶和華的手必向他的僕人顯現，他必向他的仇敵發怒。

但保惠師，就是父因我的名要差來的聖靈，他要把一切事教導你們，也要使你們想起我對你們所說過的一切話。

我向你承認我的罪，沒有隱藏我的罪孽；我說：“我要向耶和華承認我的過犯”；你就赦免我的罪孽。（細拉）

我不會撇下你們為孤兒，我要回到你們這裡來。

耶路撒冷的廢墟啊！你們要發聲，一同歡呼。因為耶和華安慰了他的子民，救贖了耶路撒冷。

我們既然多受基督所受的痛苦，就靠著基督多得安慰。如果我們遭遇患難，那是要使你們得著安慰，得著拯救；如果我們得到安慰，也是要使你們得到安慰。這安慰使你們能夠忍受我們所受那樣的痛苦。

因此，我們得了安慰。在這安慰之外，我們因提多的喜樂就更加歡喜，因為他的心從你們眾人那裡得到暢快。

所以，你們應該用這些話彼此勸慰。

耶和華必安慰錫安，他要安慰它的一切荒場，使它的曠野像伊甸園一樣，使它的荒地像耶和華的園子一般，在其中必有歡喜快樂、感謝和歌聲。

而且大多數主內的弟兄，因我所受的捆鎖，就篤信不疑，毫無畏懼，更勇敢地傳講神的道。

他們必不飢餓，也不口渴，炎熱和太陽必不傷害他們，因為那憐憫他們的，要引領他們，帶領他們到水泉的旁邊。

求你向我顯出恩待我的記號，好使恨我的人看見了，就覺得羞愧；因為你耶和華幫助了我，安慰了我。
