我先前不信他們的話，等到我來了，親眼看見了，才知道你智慧的偉大，人告訴我的還不到一半。你實在是見面勝似聞名。

我初不信、及我涖臨、目擊斯事、乃知所聞猶不及所見之半也、爾之智慧全備、較我所聞、尤覺其多。

我初不信其言、及我來此、目睹斯事、乃知爾之大智慧、人所告我者猶未及其半、爾過於我所聞之風聲、

But I did not believe what they said until I came and saw with my own eyes. Indeed, not even half the greatness of your wisdom was told me; you have far exceeded the report I heard.

But I didn’t believe what people were saying. So I came to see for myself. And now I believe it! You are twice as wise as people say you are. The report I heard doesn’t even begin to tell the whole story about you.

but I did not believe the reports until I came and my own eyes had seen it. And behold, half the greatness of your wisdom was not told me; you surpass the report that I heard.

I didn’t believe what was said until I arrived here and saw it with my own eyes. In fact, I had not heard the half of your great wisdom! It is far beyond what I was told.

他們將是多麼的善，多麼的美；五穀和新酒使少男少女生氣蓬勃。

於是她對王說：“我在本國聽見關於你的事和你的智慧，實在是真的。

萬族之中和地上列王之中，聽聞所羅門的智慧的，都有人來聽所羅門的智慧。（本章第21~34節在《馬索拉文本》為5:1~14）

你這女子中最美麗的啊！你的良人比別人的良人有甚麼更可愛之處呢？你的良人比別人的良人有甚麼更可愛之處呢？以致你這樣囑咐我們呢？我的良人紅光滿面，是萬人中的表表者。他的頭像精金，他的頭髮如棕樹枝厚密，像烏鴉那麼黑。他的眼好像溪水旁的鴿子，在奶中洗淨，塑得合式。他的兩頰如香花畦，又如香草臺；他的嘴唇像百合花，滴下沒藥汁。他的雙手像金管，鑲嵌著水蒼玉；他的軀體如象牙塊，周圍包著藍寶石。他的雙腿像大理石柱，安放在精金的座上；他的容貌如黎巴嫩山，像佳美的香柏樹。他的口甜蜜；他全然可愛。耶路撒冷的眾女子啊！這就是我的良人，我的朋友。

耶和華啊！你為敬畏你的人所珍藏的好處，為投靠你的人在世人面前所施行的恩惠，是多麼豐盛。

他比萬人都有智慧，勝過以斯拉人以探和瑪曷的三個兒子希幔、甲各、達大的智慧。他的名聲傳遍了四周列國。

其他的門徒對他說：“我們已經見過主了。”多馬對他們說：“除非我親眼看見他手上的釘痕，用我的指頭探入那釘痕，又用我的手探入他的肋旁，我決不相信。”過了八天，門徒又在屋子裡，多馬也和他們在一起。門戶都關上了。耶穌來了，站在他們中間，說：“願你們平安。”然後對多馬說：“把你的指頭放在這裡，看看我的手吧！伸出你的手來，探探我的肋旁！不要疑惑，只要信！”多馬對他說：“我的主！我的神！”耶穌說：“你因為看見我才信嗎？那些沒有看見就信的人，是有福的。”

以前我並不相信那些話，等到我來了，親眼看見，才知道人告訴我的還不到一半；你的智慧和財富，超過我所聽聞的。

正如經上所記：“神為愛他的人所預備的，是眼睛未曾見過，耳朵未曾聽過，人心也未曾想到的。”

親愛的，現在我們是神的兒女，將來怎樣，還沒有顯明；然而我們知道：主若顯現，我們必要像他，因為我們必要看見他本來是怎樣的。
