蓋耶和華錫予智慧、知識通明、出於其口、

爾中若有缺於智者、當求上帝、彼博施於眾、不責乎人、必賜之焉、

惟自上之智、則首貞潔、次和平、溫良、柔順、充以矜恤與善果、無貳無偽、

天下列王、聞所羅門之智慧、其民遂來聽之、

是日也、耶西之根、立為萬民之纛、異邦歸附、其駐蹕之所、必有榮焉、○

我所愛之兄弟乎、毋迷誤、凡美善之施、純全之賚、皆由於上、自光明之父而降、彼無變易、無移影、

爾國中有一人焉、聖神之靈寓於其中、爾父之時、見其通明、聰睿、智慧、若神之智、爾父尼布甲尼撒王、立之為巫人術士、迦勒底人、卜筮之長、

我未至而目擊、則不信其言、今知爾之智慧廣大、所告我者、猶未及半、爾之實蹟、越於我所聞之名譽、爾之羣臣、爾之眾僕、恆侍爾前、聞爾智慧、其有福矣、

祈賜我聰明智慧、使於民前出入、斯民若是之多、孰能聽其訟乎、上帝諭所羅門曰、我立爾為我民之王、爾有此心、不求資財、富有、尊榮、壽考、亦不求滅敵之命、惟求聰明智慧、能聽我民之訟、我以聰明智慧錫爾、更賜資財、富有尊榮、爾前之王、未有若此、爾後之王、亦未有若此者也、

彼變更時日、廢立君王、以智賜哲士、以識賜達人、顯示隱微深奧之事、洞悉暗中所有、光與之偕、我列祖之上帝歟、我稱謝頌美爾、錫我智能、以我儕之所求示我、俾知王事、

或由聖神賦以睿智之言、或由聖神賦以知識之言、

惟爾本乎上帝、在基督耶穌中、彼由於上帝、而為智為義為聖為贖於我儕者也、

此四少者、上帝賜以知識聰睿、精於文字學術、但以理洞悉諸啟示及夢兆、

以色列眾聞王所判、知其具有上帝之智慧以行鞫、遂咸寅畏焉、

蓋我將賜爾才辯智慧、爾諸仇不能抵拒辯駁也、

耶和華之神必臨之、即智慧明哲之神、謀畧才能之神、知識與寅畏耶和華之神也、

俾我主耶穌基督之上帝、有榮之父、賜爾明智與啟示之靈、以識上帝、
