so that they will fear you and walk in obedience to you all the time they live in the land you gave our ancestors.

Your people will have respect for you. They will live the way you want them to. They’ll live that way as long as they are in the land you gave our people long ago.

The church then had peace throughout Judea, Galilee, and Samaria, and it became stronger as the believers lived in the fear of the Lord. And with the encouragement of the Holy Spirit, it also grew in numbers.

But you offer forgiveness, that we might learn to fear you.

But be sure to fear the Lord and faithfully serve him. Think of all the wonderful things he has done for you.
