Then Solomon summoned to Jerusalem the elders of Israel, all the heads of the tribes and the chiefs of the Israelite families, to bring up the ark of the Lord’s covenant from Zion, the City of David.

Then Solomon sent for the elders of Israel. He told them to come to Jerusalem. They included all the leaders of the tribes. They also included the chiefs of the families of Israel. Solomon wanted them to bring up the ark of the Lord’ s covenant from Zion. Zion was the City of David.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the leaders of the fathers’ houses of the people of Israel, in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the city of David, which is Zion.

Solomon then summoned to Jerusalem the elders of Israel and all the heads of tribes— the leaders of the ancestral families of Israel. They were to bring the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant to the Temple from its location in the City of David, also known as Zion.

At that time Solomon assembled at Jerusalem the elders of Israel— all the tribal heads, the ancestral chiefs of the Israelites— in order to bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD up from the city of David, that is, Zion.

Then Solomon assembled at Jerusalem the elders of Israel, all the heads of the tribes, and the leaders of the fathers’ households of the sons of Israel, to bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord up from the city of David, which is Zion.

At that time Solomon assembled at Jerusalem the elders of Israel— all the tribal heads, the ancestral chiefs of the Israelites— in order to bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord up from the city of David, that is, Zion.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which[ is] Zion.

Then Solomon convened Israel’s elders– all the leaders of the Israelite tribes and families– in Jerusalem, so they could witness the transferal of the ark of the covenant of the LORD from the City of David( that is, Zion).

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the fathers’ households of the children of Israel, to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of Yahweh’s covenant out of David’s city, which is Zion.

有人告诉大卫王说：“耶和华因为约柜赐福给俄别以东的家和一切属他的。”大卫就去，欢欢喜喜地将神的约柜从俄别以东家中抬到大卫的城里。

只是神的约柜，大卫已经从基列耶琳搬到他所预备的地方，因他曾在耶路撒冷为约柜支搭了帐幕，

这示罗密和他的弟兄掌管府库的圣物，就是大卫王和众族长、千夫长、百夫长，并军长所分别为圣的物。

以色列人离开耶和华的山，往前行了三天的路程；耶和华的约柜在前头行了三天的路程，为他们寻找安歇的地方。

众人将神的约柜请进去，安放在大卫所搭的帐幕里，就在神面前献燔祭和平安祭。

于是，大卫和以色列的长老，并千夫长都去从俄别以东的家欢欢喜喜地将耶和华的约柜抬上来。

因为耶和华拣选了锡安，愿意当作自己的居所，说：“这是我永远安息之所；我要住在这里，因为是我所愿意的。我要使其中的粮食丰满，使其中的穷人饱足。我要使祭司披上救恩，圣民大声欢呼！我要叫大卫的角在那里发生；我为我的受膏者预备明灯。

他们出圣所的时候，歌唱的利未人亚萨、希幔、耶杜顿，和他们的众子众弟兄都穿细麻布衣服，站在坛的东边，敲钹、鼓瑟、弹琴，同着他们有一百二十个祭司吹号。

他们在大卫王和撒督，并亚希米勒与祭司利未人的族长面前掣签，正如他们弟兄亚伦的子孙一般。各族的长者与兄弟没有分别。

然而大卫攻取锡安的保障，就是大卫的城。

约柜停住的时候，他就说：“耶和华啊，求你回到以色列的千万人中！”

所罗门做完了耶和华殿的一切工，就把他父大卫分别为圣的金银和器皿都带来，放在神殿的府库里。

大卫招聚以色列各支派的首领和轮班服侍王的军长，与千夫长、百夫长，掌管王和王子产业牲畜的，并太监，以及大能的勇士，都到耶路撒冷来。

说：“我已经立我的君在锡安我的圣山上了。”

他爱锡安的门，胜于爱雅各一切的住处。

对他们说：“你们是利未人的族长，你们和你们的弟兄应当自洁，好将耶和华以色列神的约柜抬到我所预备的地方。

那时，所罗门将以色列的长老和各支派的首领，并以色列的族长，招聚到耶路撒冷，要把耶和华的约柜，从大卫城就是锡安运上来。以他念月，就是七月，在节前，以色列人都聚集到所罗门王那里。以色列长老来到，祭司便抬起约柜，祭司和利未人将耶和华的约柜运上来，又将会幕和会幕的一切圣器具都带上来。所罗门王和聚集到他那里的以色列全会众，一同在约柜前献牛羊为祭，多得不可胜数。祭司将耶和华的约柜抬进内殿，就是至圣所，放在两个基路伯的翅膀底下。基路伯张着翅膀在约柜之上，遮掩约柜和抬柜的杠。这杠甚长，杠头在内殿前的圣所可以看见，在殿外却不能看见，直到如今还在那里。约柜里惟有两块石版，就是以色列人出埃及地后，耶和华与他们立约的时候摩西在何烈山所放的。除此以外，并无别物。祭司从圣所出来的时候，有云充满耶和华的殿；甚至祭司不能站立供职，因为耶和华的荣光充满了殿。

作书记的利未人拿坦业的儿子示玛雅在王和首领，与祭司撒督、亚比亚他的儿子亚希米勒，并祭司利未人的族长面前记录他们的名字。在以利亚撒的子孙中取一族，在以他玛的子孙中取一族。
