每一个基路伯各有四个脸孔：第一是基路伯的脸孔，第二是人的脸孔，第三是狮子的脸孔，第四是鹰的脸孔。

第一个活物像狮子，第二个活物像牛犊，第三个活物的脸面像人，第四个活物像飞鹰。

至于它们脸孔的形状，四个活物都各有一个人的脸孔，在右边各有一个狮子的脸孔，在左边各有一个牛的脸孔，此外各有一个鹰的脸孔；
