In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, in order to fulfill the word of the Lord spoken by Jeremiah, the Lord moved the heart of Cyrus king of Persia to make a proclamation throughout his realm and also to put it in writing:

It was the first year of the rule of Cyrus. He was king of Persia. The Lord inspired him to send a message all through his kingdom. It happened so that what the Lord had spoken through Jeremiah would come true. The message was written down. It said,

Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom and also put it in writing:

In the first year of King Cyrus of Persia, the Lord fulfilled the prophecy he had given through Jeremiah. He stirred the heart of Cyrus to put this proclamation in writing and to send it throughout his kingdom:

In the first year of King Cyrus of Persia, in order to fulfill the word of the LORD spoken through Jeremiah, the LORD roused the spirit of King Cyrus of Persia to issue a proclamation throughout his entire kingdom and also to put it in writing:

Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia— in order to fulfill the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah— the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia so that he sent a proclamation throughout his kingdom, and also put it in writing, saying,

Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and also put it in writing, saying,

In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, the word of the Lord spoken through Jeremiah was fulfilled. The Lord put it into the mind of King Cyrus of Persia to issue a proclamation throughout his entire kingdom and also to put it in writing:

Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD[ spoken] by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and[ put it] also in writing, saying,

In the first year of the reign of King Cyrus of Persia, in fulfillment of the promise he delivered through Jeremiah, the LORD moved King Cyrus of Persia to issue a written decree throughout his kingdom.

Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that Yahweh’s word by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, Yahweh stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,

七十年滿了以後，我必懲罰巴比倫王和那國，並迦勒底人之地，因他們的罪孽使那地永遠荒涼。這是耶和華說的。

「耶和華如此說：為巴比倫所定的七十年滿了以後，我要眷顧你們，向你們實現我的恩言，使你們歸回此地。

波斯王居魯士元年，耶和華為要應驗藉耶利米的口所說的話，就激發波斯王居魯士的心，使他下詔書通告全國，說：「波斯王居魯士如此說：耶和華天上的神已將地上萬國賜給我，又委派我在猶大的耶路撒冷為他建造殿宇。你們中間凡作他子民的，可以上猶大的耶路撒冷去，重建耶和華－以色列神的殿，他是在耶路撒冷的神；願神與這人同在。

這就應驗耶和華藉耶利米的口所說的話：地得享安息；在荒涼的日子，地就守安息，直到滿了七十年。

波斯王居魯士第三年，有話指示那稱為伯提沙撒的但以理。這話是確實的，指着大戰爭；但以理明白這話，明白這異象。

於是，猶大和便雅憫的族長、祭司、利未人，凡是心被神感動的人都起來，要上耶路撒冷去建造耶和華的殿。

耶和華如此說：「你們論這地方，說是荒廢、無人、無牲畜之地，但在這荒涼、無人、無居民、無牲畜的猶大城鎮和耶路撒冷街上，必再聽見歡喜和快樂的聲音、新郎和新娘的聲音，並聽見有人說：你們要稱謝萬軍之耶和華，因耶和華本為善，他的慈愛永遠長存！他們奉感謝祭到耶和華的殿中；因為我必使這地被擄的人歸回，如起初一樣。這是耶和華說的。」萬軍之耶和華如此說：「在這荒廢、無人、無牲畜之地，並其中所有的城鎮，必再有牧人的草場，可讓羊羣躺臥在那裏。在山區的城鎮、謝非拉的城鎮、尼革夫的城鎮、便雅憫地、耶路撒冷四圍的各處和猶大的城鎮，必再有羊羣從數點的人手下經過。這是耶和華說的。「看哪，日子將到，我應許以色列家和猶大家的恩言必然實現。這是耶和華說的。

論居魯士說：『他是我的牧人，他要成就我所喜悅的，下令建造耶路撒冷，發命令立穩聖殿的根基。』」耶和華對所膏的居魯士如此說，他的右手我曾攙扶，使列國降服在他面前，列王的腰帶我曾鬆開，使城門在他面前敞開，不得關閉：「我要在你前面行，修平崎嶇之地。我必打破銅門，砍斷鐵閂。我要將暗中的寶物和隱藏的財富賜給你，使你知道提名召你的就是我－耶和華，以色列的神。因我的僕人雅各，我所揀選的以色列，我提名召你；你雖不認識我，我也加給你名號。我是耶和華，再沒有別的了；除了我以外再沒有神。你雖不認識我，我必給你束腰。

看哪，我必激起瑪代人攻擊他們，瑪代人並不看重銀子，也不喜愛金子。他們必用弓擊潰青年，不憐憫婦人所生的；眼也不顧惜孩子。

「因為耶和華如此說：我怎樣使這一切大災禍臨到這百姓，也要照樣使我所應許他們的一切福樂都臨到他們。你們所說荒涼、無人、無牲畜，已交給迦勒底人手的這地，必有人購置田地。在便雅憫地、耶路撒冷四圍的各處、猶大的城鎮、山地的城鎮、謝非拉的城鎮，並尼革夫的城鎮，人必用銀子買田地，在契上簽字，將契封緘，找人作證，因為我必使被擄的人歸回。這是耶和華說的。」

神又使以利亞大的兒子利遜興起，作所羅門的敵人。他曾逃避主人瑣巴王哈大底謝。

我吩咐我所分別為聖的人，召喚我的勇士，就是我那狂喜高傲的人，為要執行我的怒氣。聽啊，山間有喧鬧的聲音，好像有許多百姓聚集，聽啊，多國之民聚集鬧鬨的聲音；這是萬軍之耶和華召集作戰的軍隊。他們從遠方來，從天邊來，耶和華和他惱恨的兵器要毀滅全地。

耶和華激發非利士人和靠近古實人的阿拉伯人的心來攻擊約蘭。

因此，以色列的神激發亞述王普勒，就是亞述王提革拉‧毗列色的心，他擄掠了呂便人、迦得人、瑪拿西半支派的人，把他們帶到哈臘、哈博、哈拉與歌散河邊，直到今日。

耶和華激發撒拉鐵的兒子猶大省長所羅巴伯、約撒答的兒子約書亞大祭司，和所有倖存百姓的心，他們就來為萬軍之耶和華－他們神的殿做工。

又通告猶大和耶路撒冷，要將神僕人摩西在曠野所吩咐以色列的捐獻送來給耶和華。

於是他們下令，通告全以色列，從別是巴直到但，吩咐百姓都來，在耶路撒冷向耶和華－以色列的神守逾越節，因為他們已經許久沒有照所寫的守這節了。

現在求我主我王聽僕人的話：若是耶和華激發你來攻擊我，願耶和華悅納供物；若是出於人，願他們在耶和華面前受詛咒，因為他們今日趕逐我，不讓我在耶和華的產業中有分，說：『你去事奉別神吧！』

因為必有許多國家和大君王使迦勒底人作奴僕；我也必照他們的行為，按他們手所做的報應他們。」

我們要堅守所宣認的指望，毫不動搖，因為應許我們的那位是信實的。

耶和華使以東人哈達興起，作所羅門的敵人；他是以東王的後裔。
