Furthermore, all the leaders of the priests and the people became more and more unfaithful, following all the detestable practices of the nations and defiling the temple of the Lord, which he had consecrated in Jerusalem.

And that’s not all. The people and all the leaders of the priests became more and more unfaithful. They followed all the practices of the nations. The Lord hated those practices. The people and leaders made the Lord’ s temple“ unclean.” The Lord had set the temple in Jerusalem apart in a special way for himself.

All the officers of the priests and the people likewise were exceedingly unfaithful, following all the abominations of the nations. And they polluted the house of the Lord that he had made holy in Jerusalem.

Likewise, all the leaders of the priests and the people became more and more unfaithful. They followed all the pagan practices of the surrounding nations, desecrating the Temple of the Lord that had been consecrated in Jerusalem.

All the leaders of the priests and the people multiplied their unfaithful deeds, imitating all the detestable practices of the nations, and they defiled the LORD’s temple that he had consecrated in Jerusalem.

Furthermore, all the officials of the priests and the people were very unfaithful, following all the abominations of the nations; and they defiled the house of the Lord which He had sanctified in Jerusalem.

Moreover all the leaders of the priests and the people transgressed more and more, according to all the abominations of the nations, and defiled the house of the Lord which He had consecrated in Jerusalem.

Moreover all the chiefs of the priests, and the people, trespassed very greatly after all the abominations of the nations; and they polluted the house of Jehovah which he had hallowed in Jerusalem.

All the leaders of the priests and the people multiplied their unfaithful deeds, imitating all the detestable practices of the nations, and they defiled the Lord’s temple that He had consecrated in Jerusalem.

Moreover all the chief of the priests, and the people, transgressed very much after all the abominations of the heathen; and polluted the house of the LORD which he had hallowed in Jerusalem.

All the leaders of the priests and people became more unfaithful and committed the same horrible sins practiced by the nations. They defiled the LORD’s temple which he had consecrated in Jerusalem.

Moreover all the chiefs of the priests, and the people, trespassed very greatly after all the abominations of the nations; and they polluted Yahweh’s house which he had made holy in Jerusalem.

主歟、我與我之君王、牧伯列祖、因獲罪於爾、俱蒙羞恥、

其中之牧伯乃吼獅、其士師為暮出之狼、無所遺於詰旦、其先知輕佻詭詐、其祭司污玷聖所、干犯法律、

未聽爾僕諸先知、奉爾之名告我君王、牧伯列祖、及國中庶民之言、

牧伯奏王曰、斯人不求民利、惟求其害、請致之死、蓋彼所言、使邑中所遺之戰士庶民、厥手咸弱、

虔敬者亡於斯土、正直者泯於人間、皆伏伺以流血、各張網羅、以獵昆弟、

雅各家之首領、以色列家之有司歟、爾其聽之、爾曹惡公義、枉正直、以血建錫安、以惡建耶路撒冷、首領為賄而行鞫、祭司為利而訓誨、先知為金而占卜、猶恃耶和華曰、耶和華非在我中乎、災禍必不臨我、

其祭司干我法律、污我聖物、不辨聖與不聖、不使人別潔與不潔、掩目不顧我之安息、致我見瀆於民中、其中之牧伯、若狼攫而裂物、惟欲流血、殄滅人靈、以獲不義之利、其先知以不堅之泥、為人塗垣、所見虛偽、所占妄誕、彼謂主耶和華言之、然耶和華未言也、

自我列祖迄今、世濟其惡、因我罪戾、我與我王祭司、付於列國王手、為其殺戮、虜掠攘奪、蒙恥含羞、有如今日、

既至便雅憫門、有閽長名伊利雅、乃哈拿尼亞孫、示利米雅子也、執先知耶利米、曰、汝降迦勒底人也、耶利米曰、妄哉、我不降迦勒底人、伊利雅弗聽、執耶利米、解至牧伯、諸牧伯怒耶利米、撻之、囚於繕寫約拿單室、蓋以此室為獄也、

以色列牧伯、各奮其力、流血於爾中、

彼諭我曰、人子歟、爾其舉目北望、我則舉目北望、見壇門之北、有致忌之像在內、又諭我曰、人子歟、以色列家在此所為、爾見之乎、彼行大可惡之事、使我遠我聖所、然爾將見尤為可惡之事、遂導我至院門、我見其壁有隙、彼諭我曰、人子歟、宜鑿此壁、我既鑿之、則見有門、曰、其入、觀彼在此所行邪惡可惡之事、我入而觀、見有各類昆蟲、與可惡之獸、及以色列家諸偶像、繪於四壁、有以色列家長老七十人、立於其前、撒番子雅撒尼亞亦在其中、各執香爐、香靄上騰、彼諭我曰、人子歟、以色列家長老、各在暗中、繪像之室所行、爾見之乎、彼謂耶和華不見我、耶和華已棄斯土矣、又諭我曰、爾將見其所行、別有大可惡之事焉、遂導我至耶和華室、北向之門、在彼有婦同坐、為搭模斯哀哭、彼諭我曰、人子歟、爾見此乎、將見尤為可惡之事、遂導我入耶和華室內院、在耶和華殿門之內、廊與祭壇之間、約有二十五人、背耶和華殿、面東拜日、

亞哈斯王往大馬色、迎亞述王提革拉毘列色、見一壇在彼、遂以其規模制度之式、寄於祭司烏利亞、祭司烏利亞乃建壇、循亞哈斯王自大馬色所寄之式、以待亞哈斯王自大馬色返、王自大馬色返、見壇、則進而獻祭於其上、焚其燔祭素祭及灌祭、以酬恩祭牲之血沃於壇、又以耶和華前之銅壇、自耶和華室與其壇之間、移而置於其壇之北、亞哈斯王命祭司烏利亞曰、朝之燔祭、夕之素祭、王之燔祭素祭、與庶民之燔祭素祭灌祭、皆當焚於大壇、燔祭與他祭牲之血、悉沃其上、惟彼銅壇、為我藉以諮諏之用、祭司烏利亞悉遵亞哈斯王所命、

瑪拿西誘猶大及耶路撒冷居民、致其行惡、較耶和華於以色列人前、所滅之族尤甚、
