But Manasseh led Judah and the people of Jerusalem astray, so that they did more evil than the nations the Lord had destroyed before the Israelites.

But Manasseh misled the people of Judah and the residents of Jerusalem so that they sinned more than the nations whom the LORD had destroyed ahead of the Israelites.

Manasseh seduced Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that they did more evil than did the nations whom Yahweh destroyed before the children of Israel.

If a ruler listens to lies, all his officials become wicked. (niv)

He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, following the detestable practices of the nations the Lord had driven out before the Israelites. (niv)

Surely these things happened to Judah according to the Lord’s command, in order to remove them from his presence because of the sins of Manasseh and all he had done,including the shedding of innocent blood. For he had filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, and the Lord was not willing to forgive. (niv)

Nevertheless, the Lord did not turn away from the heat of his fierce anger, which burned against Judah because of all that Manasseh had done to arouse his anger. (niv)

He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, following the ways of his father and committing the same sin his father had caused Israel to commit. (niv)

But the people did not listen. Manasseh led them astray, so that they did more evil than the nations the Lord had destroyed before the Israelites.The Lord said through his servants the prophets:“ Manasseh king of Judah has committed these detestable sins. He has done more evil than the Amorites who preceded him and has led Judah into sin with his idols. (niv)

and followed the practices of the nations the Lord had driven out before them, as well as the practices that the kings of Israel had introduced.The Israelites secretly did things against the Lord their God that were not right. From watchtower to fortified city they built themselves high places in all their towns.They set up sacred stones and Asherah poles on every high hill and under every spreading tree.At every high place they burned incense, as the nations whom the Lord had driven out before them had done. They did wicked things that aroused the Lord’s anger. (niv)

And he will give Israel up because of the sins Jeroboam has committed and has caused Israel to commit.” (niv)

“‘ Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, because this is how the nations that I am going to drive out before you became defiled. (niv)

They were a people strong and numerous, and as tall as the Anakites. The Lord destroyed them from before the Ammonites, who drove them out and settled in their place. (niv)

You have observed the statutes of Omri and all the practices of Ahab’s house; you have followed their traditions. Therefore I will give you over to ruin and your people to derision; you will bear the scorn of the nations.” (niv)

Moreover, Manasseh also shed so much innocent blood that he filled Jerusalem from end to end— besides the sin that he had caused Judah to commit, so that they did evil in the eyes of the Lord. (niv)

Your mother was a Hittite and your father an Amorite.Your older sister was Samaria, who lived to the north of you with her daughters; and your younger sister, who lived to the south of you with her daughters, was Sodom.You not only followed their ways and copied their detestable practices, but in all your ways you soon became more depraved than they. “‘ I brought you to the land of the Amorites who lived east of the Jordan. They fought against you, but I gave them into your hands. I destroyed them from before you, and you took possession of their land. (niv)
