“如果有人轉向交鬼的和行法術的，隨從他們行淫，我必向那人變臉，把他從他的族人中剪除。

他又把他的兒子用火燒為祭（“把他的兒子用火燒為祭”直譯是“使他的兒子經過進入火中”），並且算命、觀兆，交鬼和行巫術；多行耶和華看為惡的事，惹他發怒。

你不可把你的子孫獻給摩洛，也不可褻瀆你神的名；我是耶和華。

有人對你們說：“要求問那些交鬼的和行巫術的，就是那些喃喃細語的人。”一族之民不應當求問自己的神嗎？他們怎能為活人求問死人呢？

“你們不可轉向那些交鬼的和行法術的；不可求問他們，玷污自己；我是耶和華你們的神。

“他們在欣嫩子谷中，建造了陀斐特的邱壇，用火焚燒自己的兒女；這不是我吩咐的，我也沒有在心裡想過。因此，看哪！日子快到，人必不再稱這地方為陀斐特或欣嫩子谷，卻要稱它為‘殺戮谷’；人必在陀斐特埋葬屍體，甚至無處可容。”這是耶和華的宣告。

掃羅死了，因為他悖逆耶和華，沒有聽從他的話，也因為他去求問那交鬼的，

“無論男女，是交鬼的或是行法術的，必要把他們處死，要用石頭打死他們；他們必須承擔流血的罪責。”

拜偶像、行邪術、仇恨、爭競、忌恨、忿怒、自私、分黨、結派、

你不可向耶和華你的神這樣行，因為耶和華恨惡的一切可厭惡的事，他們都向他們的神行了，甚至把自己的兒女用火焚燒，獻給他們的神。

不料喪子和寡居這兩件事，竟在忽然之間，一日之內，要臨到你身上！正在你多行邪術，竭力施符咒的時候，這兩件事就必都臨到你身上。你向來倚靠自己的邪惡，說：‘沒有人看見我’；你的智慧和知識把你引入了歧途。你心裡說：‘只有我，除了我以外，再沒有別的。’但災禍必臨到你身上，你卻不知道它的來源；禍患必落在你身上，你卻不能把它除去；毀滅必忽然臨到你身上，你卻不知道。繼續使用你從幼年時就勞碌施行的符咒和許多的邪術吧！或者你可以得到益處，也許你能叫人戰慄。

因為悖逆與行邪術的罪相同，頑梗與拜虛無偶像一樣，因為你棄絕了耶和華的話，耶和華也棄絕了你作王。”

“你們不可吃帶血的東西，不可占卜，不可算命。

在你中間不可有人把自己的兒女獻作火祭（“把自己的兒女獻作火祭”直譯是“使自己的兒女經過進入火中”），也不可有占卜的、算命的、用法術的、行邪術的、念咒的、問鬼的、行巫術的、過陰的。因為行這些事的，都是耶和華厭惡的；就是因為這些可厭可惡的事的緣故，耶和華你的神才把他們從你的面前趕走。你要在耶和華你的神面前作完全人。“因為你要趕走的那些民族，都聽從算命的和占卜的；至於你，耶和華你的神卻不容許你這樣行。

“你要對以色列人說：任何以色列人，或是在以色列中寄居的外人，把自己的兒子獻給摩洛，必要把他處死；本地的人要用石頭把他打死。

她們宰殺了自己的兒女獻給偶像，同一天又進了我的聖所，把聖所褻瀆。這就是她們在我殿中所行的。
