欲以豕所食之荳莢充腹、而無人予之、既而省悟曰、我父傭人甚多、其糧有餘、而我餓死乎、我必起而歸我父、向之曰、父、我獲罪於天、亦獲罪於爾、

當自卑於主前、則主必高舉爾、○

我聞以法蓮哀哭曰、昔我如不習於負軛不習於負軛或作放逸之犢、主督責我、我受督責、求主俾我悛改、我則悛改、蓋主為我之天主、悛改之後、我甚悔於心、受教之後、自搥己髀、自覺愧怍羞慚、因幼時之罪、受辱蒙恥、以法蓮豈非我之愛子、我所悅之赤子乎、我一言之、即顧念之、我心腸為之發矜恤、復加憐憫、此乃主所言、○

故主其天主付之於亞蘭王手、亞蘭人擊之、擄民甚眾、攜至大瑪色、亦付於以色列王手、以色列王大戮其民、

爾在患難時禱告我、我必救爾、爾當尊奉我、

爾中所遺之人、居於敵國、必緣己罪、及其列祖之罪、日漸消亡、彼時必認己之罪、及其列祖之罪、即干我逆我以行之罪、我依其逆行、散之於敵國、後若其剛愎之心、剛愎之心或作不淨之心自卑以服罪、則我必追憶與雅各所立之約、亦追憶與以撒亞伯拉罕所立之約、而俯念斯地、

我告爾、得稱義而歸者、此也、非彼也、蓋凡自高者必降為卑、自卑者將升為高、○有人攜孩提就耶穌、欲耶穌手按之、門徒見而責之、

摩西亞倫往見法老曰、希伯來人之天主耶和華如是云、爾於我前、不欲自卑、將至何時、當釋我民、以奉事我、

爾為少者、當服老者、老者或作長老皆以謙卑為衣衣之、互相順服、經云、驕傲者、天主拒之、謙卑者、天主賜之以恩、故當自卑、服天主大能之手、及時、天主必高舉爾、

瑪拿西其餘之事、及禱其天主之言、與先見奉主以色列之天主名勸之之言、俱載於以色列列王記、其祈禱蒙允、其一切罪愆、未自卑以前在何處築邱壇、立亞舍拉及偶像、俱載於何賽何賽或作先見之書、

主曰、爾起往直街、至猶大家、訪達蘇人名掃羅者、彼方祈禱、

不在主前自卑、不如其父瑪拿西自卑、乃犯罪愈重、
