耶和華如此說：倚靠人血肉的膀臂，心中離棄耶和華的，那人有禍了！

他說：「猶大眾人、耶路撒冷的居民，和約沙法王，你們請聽。耶和華對你們如此說：『不要因這大軍恐懼驚惶；因為勝敗不在乎你們，乃在乎神。

惟有主站在我旁邊，加給我力量，使福音被我盡都傳明，叫外邦人都聽見；我也從獅子口裏被救出來。

率領我們的是神，我們這裏也有神的祭司拿號向你們吹出大聲。以色列人哪，不要與耶和華－你們列祖的神爭戰，因你們必不能亨通。」

萬軍之耶和華與我們同在；雅各的神是我們的避難所！

因為耶和華－你們的神與你們同去，要為你們與仇敵爭戰，拯救你們。』

次日清早，眾人起來往提哥亞的曠野去。出去的時候，約沙法站着說：「猶大人和耶路撒冷的居民哪，要聽我說：信耶和華－你們的神就必立穩；信他的先知就必亨通。」

人心憂慮，屈而不伸；一句良言，使心歡樂。

你不要害怕，因為我與你同在；不要驚惶，因為我是你的神。我必堅固你，我必幫助你；我必用我公義的右手扶持你。

「你出去與仇敵爭戰的時候，看見馬匹、車輛，並有比你多的人民，不要怕他們，因為領你出埃及地的耶和華－你神與你同在。

小子們哪，你們是屬神的，並且勝了他們；因為那在你們裏面的，比那在世界上的更大。

有我與你同在，必沒有人下手害你，因為在這城裏我有許多的百姓。」

亞撒呼求耶和華－他的神說：「耶和華啊，惟有你能幫助軟弱的，勝過強盛的。耶和華－我們的神啊，求你幫助我們；因為我們仰賴你，奉你的名來攻擊這大軍。耶和華啊，你是我們的神，不要容人勝過你。」

你們要謹防，恐怕希西家勸導你們說：耶和華必拯救我們。列國的神有哪一個救他本國脫離亞述王的手呢？

萬軍之耶和華與我們同在；雅各的神是我們的避難所！（細拉）

約書亞一時殺敗了這些王，並奪了他們的地，因為耶和華－以色列的神為以色列爭戰。

你有神那樣的膀臂嗎？你能像他發雷聲嗎？

所以你們不要叫希西家這樣欺哄誘惑你們，也不要信他；因為沒有一國一邦的神能救自己的民脫離我手和我列祖的手，何況你們的神更不能救你們脫離我的手。』」

願主與你的靈同在！願恩惠常與你們同在！

任憑你們同謀，終歸無有；任憑你們言定，終不成立；因為神與我們同在。
