我聞異邦之眾、譁然若海濤漰渤、威聲遠振、惟上帝咤叱之、使彼逃遁、猶之秕糠、為颶風所飄揚、猶之草芥、為狂飆所吹散、

爾有威可畏、厥怒奮揚、莫能禦兮、

希律不歸榮上帝、主之使者遂鑿之、為蟲所噬而氣絕、○

謙者得智、驕者受辱。

耶和華曰、我將勃興、顯我巨力、彰我大能、敵之氣燄、如火之烈、災及其身、譬彼懷妊、所孕者秕糠、所產者草芥、我燬其軍旅、若陶人之煮灰、猶刈荊棘、焚之以火、

亞麼士子以賽亞遣人告希西家曰、以色列族之上帝、耶和華云、爾祈禱我、攻亞述王西拿基立、我已聞之。

主使牧伯、咸喪厥膽、主治列王、大彰其威兮。

我名耶和華、必不使我之榮光、為他人所奪、我之聲譽為偶像所得、

我之上帝、鑒我無辜、未嘗違逆乎王、遣使箝獅口、俾我免遭吞噬、

彼曰我之牧伯、可儗列王、

予大闢兮、受彼膏沐、立我為王兮、蒙其拯救、恩及孫子兮、永世靡暨。

是夕耶和華之使者、出在亞述營、擊其士卒十八萬五千、詰朝、惟見尸骸而已。亞述王西拿基立遂撒其營、歸尼尼微、值崇拜於其上帝溺落之殿、其子亞得米勒、沙哩斯弒之、遁於亞喇臘國、更有一子。以撒哈頓繼位。

耶和華震怒諸敵、勢若烈火、颶風雨雹、行潦驟至、霹靂遙聞、異跡立見、昔亞述人擊民、耶和華必以雷殛之、昔耶和華以亞述人為杖箠、以擊斯民、厥後亞述之人、戰鬥敗績、民將鼓琴彈瑟不已、自古以來、欲罰亞述國王在彼陀法、為備坎阱、其深無量、其廣無垠、積薪無數、望之若臺、焚之以火、耶和華之氣若硫磺、使烈燄四熾焉。

亞麼士子以賽亞遣人告希西家曰、以色列族之上帝耶和華云、爾祈禱我、攻亞述王西拿基立、

世末亦然、天使將出、於善之中以別其惡、投之火爐、在彼有哀哭切齒者矣、○

王曰、沙得臘、米煞、亞伯尼坷、賴其上帝、余雖降命、彼寧焚其身、不拜他上帝、故上帝遣使救援、當頌美不已。

敵必蒙羞、彼必冠冕、赫赫榮華兮。

猛毅之人、喪敗而長眠、英武之士、其力廢弛兮。

我萬有之主耶和華、赫兮煊兮、伐其巨枝、折其雄幹、使高者降為卑、持其斧斤、斬其林木、使豪傑之士盡斫利巴嫩之樹。

不能、曷能禦我主之僕、武士長至微之一乎、然則爾恃埃及、欲得車馬、亦奚以為、

心驕志肆、終必隕越。

世上諸王大夫將軍富人、有能者、或主或僕、匿於巖穴、籲呼山巖壓己、不令坐位之主見之、及為羔所怒、

上帝具至智、有大能、違之者烏能得福。

異邦之人、強暴特甚、猝然遁逃、猶之塵埃、無異糠秕。萬有之主耶和華、將以霹靂地震、狂飆烈燄、降罰於異邦人。凡攻亞列、圍其城垣、使之困憊、其人雖多、必將淪喪、同於宵夢、若饑者夢食、醒而依然枵腹、若渴者夢飲、醒而依然渴乏、列國之眾、攻擊郇山、亦將若是。

故萬有之主將使肥健之人、變為瘦瘠、尊榮之輩、爇以烈火、以色列族至聖之主、輝光遠燭、勢若焰火、一日間必毀亞述人、若焚荊棘、茂林良田、俱遭焚燬、中有餘木、其數惟寡、小子可稽察之、亞述王身必喪、命必絕、如病者之漸痿、

我見一天使、立於日中、大聲呼云、穹蒼飛鳥、可翔而集、赴上帝盛宴、君王、將軍、勇士、及乘馬者、與馬、或主或僕、自尊逮卑、汝可食其肉、
