雕刻鎔鑄之像、人工所作、耶和華所惡、有製而立於私地者、當服咒詛、民必群應曰、固心所願。

異邦之偶像、金銀而已、人手所雕作兮。有口不言、有目不見、耳不聞聲音、鼻不通呼吸兮、造作之、依賴之、與彼無異兮。

猶大國民咸知上帝、以色列族中、其名赫奕兮、在撒冷有其帷幕、在郇城有其宅第兮、

見爾所至者、郇山、永生上帝邑、天上之耶路撒冷、有天使咸集、不下數萬、

我與列祖、滅四方民、爾豈不知乎、列邦之上帝、豈能救其國、脫於我手乎。我列祖殲滅四國、其中皆有上帝、孰一能救其民於我手、則爾上帝、焉能援爾於我手。勿為希西家所惑、而信其言、蓋列邦之上帝、無能拯其民於我祖及我之手、則爾上帝必不能援爾於我手。使臣復訕上帝耶和華、及其僕希西家。致書侮以色列族之上帝耶和華、訕之曰、列邦之上帝、不拯其國、脫於我手、故希西家之上帝、亦不能救其民脫於我手。

億兆之禮儀虛偽、有入林叢、以斧伐木、以工治之、

擣銀使薄、至自大失、金自烏法、冶人鎔之、匠人製之、紫赤之布為衣、良工織之。

維我遴選郇邑、為我居處兮、此我駐蹕之所、我所欣喜、永世弗替兮。

惡人自恃其勇、狂悖成性、侮慢全能之上帝。挺身馳突、以厚盾自衛。

斯民違我、焚香奉事他上帝、崇拜手所作者、肆行惡事、故我有命、必降災於其身。

在彼人以木石作上帝像、不見不聞、臭味不知、惟汝事之。

毋使惡人凌侮、謂上帝不加研究兮、爾實鑒察、灼知殘害、而報之兮、貧民惟爾是賴、孤子蒙爾眷祐兮、

乃簡猶大一族、愛斯郇山、

獅與熊尚被僕所殺、此未受割禮之非利士人、既侮永生上帝之軍、亦必如是。

材木之半、焚之可以備餚、可以炙肉、食之果腹、向火得暖、人樂以觀火。更有餘木、以製偶像、以像上帝、俯伏而拜、禱曰、誠我上帝、爾其救予、維彼不識不知、其目若塗以泥、其心不明、孰能深思其故、奮然儆醒曰、材木之半、焚之可以烘餅炙肉、而供口腹、則其餘材、豈可作像、拜此可憎之榾柮。彼心昏迷、所望成空、若食燼餘而不悟、不知右手所作、悉屬虛妄。
