我和我列祖向各地的民族所行的，你们不知道吗？各地列国的神能拯救他们的国脱离我的手吗？

我与我列祖向列邦所行的，你们岂不知道吗？列邦的神何尝能救自己的国脱离我手呢？

我与我祖先向列邦民族所行的，你们岂不知道吗？列邦的神明何尝能救自己的国脱离我的手呢？

难道你们不知道我和我的祖先怎样对付列国吗？列国的神明哪个能从我手中救自己的国家呢？

我與我列祖向列邦所行的，你們豈不知道嗎？列邦的神何嘗能救自己的國脫離我手呢？

我與我祖先向列邦民族所行的，你們豈不知道嗎？列邦的神明何嘗能救自己的國脫離我的手呢？

難道你們不知道我和我的祖先怎樣對付列國嗎？列國的神明哪個能從我手中救自己的國家呢？

我和我列祖向各地的民族所行的，你們不知道嗎？各地列國的神能拯救他們的國脫離我的手嗎？

我和我列祖向四圍各地萬族之民所行的、你們不知道麼？各地列國的神何嘗真能援救他們本地脫離我的手呢？

我與列祖何以待列邦之民、爾豈不知乎、列邦之神、能救其國脫於我手乎、

我與列祖、滅四方民、爾豈不知乎、列邦之上帝、豈能救其國、脫於我手乎。

我與列祖如何待列邦、爾豈不知乎、列邦之神、能救其國脫於我手乎、

“ Do you not know what I and my predecessors have done to all the peoples of the other lands? Were the gods of those nations ever able to deliver their land from my hand?

“‘ Don’t you know what I and the kings who ruled before me have done? Don’t you know what we’ve done to all the peoples of the other lands? Were the gods of those nations ever able to save their lands from my power?

Do you not know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of other lands? Were the gods of the nations of those lands at all able to deliver their lands out of my hand?

“ Surely you must realize what I and the other kings of Assyria before me have done to all the people of the earth! Were any of the gods of those nations able to rescue their people from my power?

“‘ Don’t you know what I and my predecessors have done to all the peoples of the lands? Have any of the national gods of the lands been able to rescue their land from my power?

Do you not know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of the lands? Were the gods of the nations of those lands at all able to save their land from my hand?

Do you not know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of other lands? Were the gods of the nations of those lands in any way able to deliver their lands out of my hand?

Know ye not what I and my fathers have done unto all the peoples of the lands? Were the gods of the nations of the lands in any wise able to deliver their land out of my hand?

“‘ Don’t you know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of the lands? Have any of the national gods of the lands been able to deliver their land from my power?

Know ye not what I and my fathers have done unto all the people of[ other] lands? were the gods of the nations of those lands any ways able to deliver their lands out of mine hand?

Are you not aware of what I and my predecessors have done to all the nations of the surrounding lands? Have the gods of the surrounding lands actually been able to rescue their lands from my power?

Don’t you know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of the lands? Were the gods of the nations of the lands in any way able to deliver their land out of my hand?

列国的神真能解救他们的国土脱离亚述王的手吗？哈马和亚珥拔的神在哪里呢？西法瓦音、希拿和以瓦的神在哪里呢？他们可以解救撒玛利亚脱离我的手吗？这些国家所有的神，有哪一个曾解救他自己的国家脱离我的手呢？难道耶和华能解救耶路撒冷脱离我的手吗？’”

你们不要惊惶，也不要惧怕。我不是老早就说了给你们听，告诉了你们吗？你们就是我的见证人。除我以外，还有真神吗？没有别的磐石；我一个也不知道。”制造偶像的人，尽都是虚空的，他们所喜爱的，都没有益处。他们的见证人，一无所见，一无所知，以致他们蒙羞。谁制造神像，或铸造偶像，不想得到益处呢？

我们的神在天上；他喜欢什么，就作什么。列国的偶像是金的、银的，是人手所做的。它们有口，却不能说话；有眼，却不能看；有耳，却不能听；有鼻，却不能闻；有手，却不能摸；有脚，却不能行；也不能用喉咙发声。做偶像的必和偶像一样；凡是倚靠它们的，都必这样。

关于吃祭过偶像的食物，我们知道世上的偶像算不得什么，也知道神只有一位，没有别的神。

看哪，你听过亚述列王怎样对付列国，把它们完全毁灭，你会得着解救吗？我祖先所消灭的民族，就是歌散人、哈兰人、利色人和在提．拉撒的伊甸人，他们的神可曾解救他们吗？哈马王、亚珥拔王、西法瓦音城的王、希拿王和以瓦王在哪里呢？’”

以色列王比加在位的日子，亚述王提革拉．毗列色前来，攻取了以云、亚伯．伯．玛迦、亚挪、基低斯、夏琐、基列、加利利和拿弗他利全地，把居民掳到亚述去。

迦勒挪不是像迦基米施吗？哈玛不是像亚珥拔吗？撒玛利亚不是像大马士革吗？我的手伸展到这些充满偶像的国，他们雕刻的像比耶路撒冷和撒玛利亚的还多。

现在你们看见了，也听见了，这个保罗不单在以弗所，而且几乎在整个亚西亚，说服了，也带坏了许多人，说：‘人手所做的，都不是神。’

你们要对他们这样说：“那些没有创造天地的神，必从地上、从天下消灭。”耶和华用自己的能力创造了大地，用自己的智慧坚立了世界，又用自己的聪明展开了诸天。

耶和华啊！亚述列王果然使列国和他们的土地变成荒凉，又把列国的神都扔进火中；因为他们不是神，只是人手所做的，不过是木头和石头，所以他们就灭绝了他们。耶和华我们的神啊！现在求你拯救我们脱离亚述王的手，使地上万国都知道唯有你耶和华是神。”

耶和华啊！亚述列王真的曾毁坏列国和它们的领土，把它们的神丢进火里，但他们并不是神，不过是人手用木头、石头做成的，因此他们可以把他们除掉。现在，耶和华我们的神啊，求你从他的手中把我们拯救出来，地上万国就可以知道只有你耶和华才是神。”

因神所赐给他的权势，各国、各族和说各种语言的人，都在他面前战兢恐惧；他要杀谁，就杀谁；要谁活着，谁就可以活着；要提升谁，就提升谁；要贬低谁，就贬低谁。

亚述王上来攻击以色列全国各地，并且到撒玛利亚来，围城三年。何细亚在位第九年，亚述王占领了撒玛利亚，把以色列人掳到亚述去，安置他们在哈腊，在哈博河和歌散河一带，以及在玛代人的各城。

那作雅各产业的并不像这些偶像，因为他是万物的创造者；以色列是属他的民族，万军之耶和华是他的名。

现在我尼布甲尼撒赞美、尊崇、荣耀天上的王，因为他所作的一切都正确，他所行的也都公平；行为骄傲的，他都能贬低。”

我的手伸到列国的财宝那里，好像抓到鸟窝一样；我取得了全地，好像人拾起被弃的雀蛋；没有动翅膀的，没有张嘴的，也没有鸣叫的。”

我列祖所毁灭的国，有歌撒、哈兰、利色和在提．拉撒的伊甸人，这些国的神曾拯救她们吗？哈马的王、亚珥拔的王、西法瓦音城的王、希拿和以瓦的王，现在都在哪里呢？”

他们论到耶路撒冷的神，就好像世上万民的神一样，把他当作是人手所做的。

他说：“这大巴比伦城不是我用大能大力建造作我的京都，为显我威严的荣耀吗？”
