Now be ye not stiffnecked, as your fathers[ were, but] yield yourselves unto the LORD, and enter into his sanctuary, which he hath sanctified for ever: and serve the LORD your God, that the fierceness of his wrath may turn away from you.

勿似爾列祖之強項、當歸順耶和華、入其永別為聖之所、奉事爾上帝耶和華、俾其烈怒離爾、

毋強爾項、濟乃父之惡、宜從耶和華。彼之聖室、業已成潔、歷世弗替、爾當入之、役事爾之上帝耶和華、則其震怒可息。

勿似爾祖父剛愎、當歸順主、至主所永定為聖之殿、奉事主爾列祖之天主、庶主向爾息怒、

Do not be stiff-necked, as your ancestors were; submit to the Lord. Come to his sanctuary, which he has consecrated forever. Serve the Lord your God, so that his fierce anger will turn away from you.

Don’t be stubborn. Don’t be as your people were. Obey the Lord. Come to his temple. He has set it apart to himself forever. Serve the Lord your God. Then he’ll stop being angry with you.

Do not now be stiff-necked as your fathers were, but yield yourselves to the Lord and come to his sanctuary, which he has consecrated forever, and serve the Lord your God, that his fierce anger may turn away from you.

Do not be stubborn, as they were, but submit yourselves to the Lord. Come to his Temple, which he has set apart as holy forever. Worship the Lord your God so that his fierce anger will turn away from you.

Don’t become obstinate now like your ancestors did. Give your allegiance to the LORD, and come to his sanctuary that he has consecrated forever. Serve the LORD your God so that he may turn his burning anger away from you,

Now do not stiffen your neck like your fathers, but yield to the Lord and enter His sanctuary which He has consecrated forever, and serve the Lord your God, that His burning anger may turn away from you.

Now do not be stiff-necked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves to the Lord; and enter His sanctuary, which He has sanctified forever, and serve the Lord your God, that the fierceness of His wrath may turn away from you.

Now be ye not stiffnecked, as your fathers were; but yield yourselves unto Jehovah, and enter into his sanctuary, which he hath sanctified for ever, and serve Jehovah your God, that his fierce anger may turn away from you.

Don’t become obstinate now like your fathers did. Give your allegiance to Yahweh, and come to His sanctuary that He has consecrated forever. Serve the Lord your God so that He may turn His burning anger away from you,

Now don’t be stiff- necked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves to Yahweh, and enter into his sanctuary, which he has sanctified forever, and serve Yahweh your God, that his fierce anger may turn away from you.

And the LORD said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it[ is] a stiffnecked people:

Now[ it is] in mine heart to make a covenant with the LORD God of Israel, that his fierce wrath may turn away from us.

Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.

To see thy power and thy glory, so[ as] I have seen thee in the sanctuary.

Until I went into the sanctuary of God;[ then] understood I their end.

And all the princes, and the mighty men, and all the sons likewise of king David, submitted themselves unto Solomon the king.

Servants, obey in all things[ your] masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:And whatsoever ye do, do[ it] heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will[ my] Father honour.

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that[ were] on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.

And said unto them, Ye shall not bring in the captives hither: for whereas we have offended against the LORD[ already], ye intend to add[ more] to our sins and to our trespass: for our trespass is great, and[ there is] fierce wrath against Israel.

Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name.

And he also rebelled against king Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by God: but he stiffened his neck, and hardened his heart from turning unto the LORD God of Israel.

Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands unto God.

Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

Now hear me therefore, and deliver the captives again, which ye have taken captive of your brethren: for the fierce wrath of the LORD[ is] upon you.

They have seen thy goings, O God;[ even] the goings of my God, my King, in the sanctuary.

Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee.

And they gave their hands that they would put away their wives; and[ being] guilty,[ they offered] a ram of the flock for their trespass.

But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

Notwithstanding the LORD turned not from the fierceness of his great wrath, wherewith his anger was kindled against Judah, because of all the provocations that Manasseh had provoked him withal.

Neither yield ye your members[ as] instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members[ as] instruments of righteousness unto God.For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired[ it] for his habitation.This[ is] my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.

He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil angels[ among them].

But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.
