要宰逾越节的羔羊，将自己分别为圣，为你们的弟兄预备，好遵守耶和华藉摩西所吩咐的话。”

信差从这城跑到那城，传遍了以法莲和玛拿西之地，直到西布伦；那里的人却戏笑他们，讥诮他们。然而亚设、玛拿西、西布伦中也有人谦卑自己，来到耶路撒冷。

你们要吩咐以色列全会众说：本月初十，各人要按着家庭取羔羊，一家一只羔羊。若一家的人太少，吃不了一只羔羊，就要按照人数和隔壁的邻舍共取一只；你们要按每人的食量来估算羔羊。你们要从绵羊或山羊中取一只无残疾、一岁的公羔羊，要把它留到本月十四日；那日黄昏的时候，以色列全会众要把羔羊宰了。他们要取一些血，涂在他们吃羔羊的房屋两边的门框上和门楣上。当晚要吃羔羊的肉；要用火烤了，与无酵饼和苦菜一起吃。不可吃生的，或用水煮的，要把羔羊连头带腿和内脏用火烤了吃。一点也不可留到早晨；若有留到早晨的，要用火烧了。你们要这样吃羔羊：腰间束带，脚上穿鞋，手中拿杖，快快地吃。这是耶和华的逾越。因为那夜我要走遍埃及地，把埃及地一切头生的，无论是人是牲畜，都击杀了；我要对埃及所有的神明施行审判。我是耶和华。这血要在你们所住的房屋上作记号；我一见这血，就逾越你们。我击打埃及地的时候，灾殃必不临到你们身上施行毁灭。”“你们要记念这日，世世代代守这日为耶和华的节日，作为你们永远的定例。你们要吃无酵饼七日。第一日要把酵从你们各家中除去，因为从第一日到第七日，任何吃有酵之物的，必从以色列中剪除。第一日当有圣会，第七日也当有圣会。在这两日，任何工作都不可做，只能预备各人的食物，这是惟一可做的工作。你们要守除酵节，因为我在这一日把你们的军队从埃及地领出来。所以，你们要世世代代守这日，立为永远的定例。从正月十四日晚上，直到二十一日晚上，你们要吃无酵饼。在你们各家中，七日之内不可有酵，因为凡吃有酵之物的，无论是寄居的，是本地的，必从以色列的会中剪除。任何有酵的物，你们都不可吃；在你们一切的住处要吃无酵饼。”

全以色列的祭司和利未人都从四方来归罗波安。

他们所做的使他们不能归向上帝，因有淫乱的心在他们里面；他们不认识耶和华。

有一个神人来见亚玛谢，对他说：“王啊，不要带领以色列的军兵与你同去，因为耶和华不和以色列，和任何以法莲的子孙同在。

以法莲哪，我怎能舍弃你？以色列啊，我怎能弃绝你？我怎能使你如押玛？怎能使你如洗扁？我回心转意，我的怜悯燃了起来。

你当在那里，耶和华选择作为他名居所的地方，从羊群牛群中，将逾越节的祭牲献给耶和华—你的上帝。这祭牲不可和有酵的东西一起吃。因为你曾匆忙离开埃及地，你要吃无酵饼，就是困苦饼七日，好让你一生的年日记得你从埃及地出来的那一日。在你全境内，七日不可见到酵母。第一日晚上所献的肉，一点也不可留到早晨。你不可在耶和华—你上帝所赐的各城中，任何一座城里，献逾越节的祭，只可在那里，耶和华—你上帝选择作为他名居所的地方，在晚上日落的时候，就是你出埃及的时候，献逾越节的祭。
