亚哈斯王把盆座四面的嵌边拆下来，把盆从座上挪下来，又将铜海从驮铜海的铜牛上搬下来，放在石板铺的地上。他为了亚述王的缘故，在耶和华的殿里移动殿里为安息日所盖的遮棚和王从外面进来的入口。

元年正月，他开了耶和华殿的门，重新整修。
