King Joash did not remember the kindness Zechariah’s father Jehoiada had shown him but killed his son, who said as he lay dying,“ May the Lord see this and call you to account.”

King Joash didn’t remember how kind Zechariah’s father Jehoiada had been to him. So he killed Jehoiada’s son. As Zechariah was dying he said,“ May the Lord see this. May he hold you responsible.”

Thus Joash the king did not remember the kindness that Jehoiada, Zechariah’s father, had shown him, but killed his son. And when he was dying, he said,“ May the Lord see and avenge!”

That was how King Joash repaid Jehoiada for his loyalty— by killing his son. Zechariah’s last words as he died were,“ May the Lord see what they are doing and avenge my death!”

凡是殺人害命的，無論人或獸，我必向他們追討血債。凡殺人的，我必追討他的血債。

人若以惡報善，家裡必禍患不斷。

我第一次在法庭申辯的時候，沒有人幫助我，眾人都離棄了我，但願他們不會因此而獲罪。

羔羊揭開第五印的時候，我看到一個祭壇，祭壇下有許多靈魂，都是為傳揚上帝的道、為祂做見證而被殺的。他們大聲喊著說：「聖潔真實的主宰啊，還要等多久呢？為什麼你還不審判地上那些屠殺我們的人，為我們伸冤呢？」這時有白袍賜給他們，有聲音告訴他們要再稍候片刻，直到和他們同作奴僕的弟兄被殺害的數目滿了為止。

銅匠亞歷山大做了許多惡事害我，主必按他的所作所為報應他。

因為祂的審判真實公義，祂懲罰了那用淫亂敗壞世界的大淫婦，為那些被她殺害的奴僕伸冤。」

然而，審判公正、洞察肺腑心腸的萬軍之耶和華啊，願我能看見你報應他們，因為我已向你陳明我的冤屈。

上天啊，眾聖徒、眾使徒和眾先知啊，為她的下場歡樂吧！因為上帝已經向她施行報應，為你們伸冤了。」

耶穌就問他們：「我將許多從父而來的美善之事顯給你們看，你們為了哪一件事拿石頭打我呢？」

但你已看到世人的疾苦，隨時伸出援手。困苦無助的人投靠你，你是孤兒的幫助。

毀滅者正前來攻打巴比倫，擒拿她的勇士，折斷他們的弓弩。耶和華是追討罪惡、報應惡人的上帝。

其中一個發現自己痊癒了，就跑回來，高聲讚美上帝，又俯伏在耶穌的腳前連連稱謝。這人是撒瑪利亞人。耶穌說：「被醫好的不是有十個人嗎？其他九個呢？回來讚美稱頌上帝的只有這個外族人嗎？」

至於我，我已落在你們手中，你們認為怎樣好就怎樣待我吧！不過，你們要知道，如果你們置我於死地，你們和這城及城中的居民必擔當濫殺無辜的罪，因為確實是耶和華派我來告訴你們這些預言的。」

我愛他們，他們卻控告我，但我為他們禱告。
