Through Ahaziah’s visit to Joram, God brought about Ahaziah’s downfall. When Ahaziah arrived, he went out with Joram to meet Jehu son of Nimshi, whom the Lord had anointed to destroy the house of Ahab.

But it was ordained by God that the downfall of Ahaziah should come about through his going to visit Joram. For when he came there, he went out with Jehoram to meet Jehu the son of Nimshi, whom the Lord had anointed to destroy the house of Ahab.

But God had decided that this visit would be Ahaziah’s downfall. While he was there, Ahaziah went out with Joram to meet Jehu grandson of Nimshi, whom the Lord had appointed to destroy the dynasty of Ahab.

Ahaziah’s downfall came from God when he went to Joram. When Ahaziah arrived, he went out with Joram to meet Jehu son of Nimshi, whom the LORD had anointed to destroy the house of Ahab.

以利沙先知叫来一个先知，吩咐他：“你要束上腰带，拿着这瓶膏油去基列的拉末。到了以后，你去找宁示的孙子、约沙法的儿子耶户，带他离开同僚，进入密室，把这瓶膏油倒在他头上，告诉他，‘耶和华说，我膏立你为以色列王。’然后，你要马上开门逃走，不可迟延。”于是，那位年轻的先知启程前往基列的拉末。到了那里，他看见众将领正坐在一起，便说：“将军，我有话对你说。”耶户说：“你想对我们哪一个说话？”他说：“将军啊，我有话对你说。”耶户便站起来，随他进入屋里。他将膏油倒在耶户头上，说：“以色列的上帝耶和华说，‘我膏立你做我以色列子民的王。你要杀你主人亚哈的全家，这样我就可以为我的仆人——众先知以及其他仆人报仇，他们被耶洗别杀害。

耶和华彰显了自己的公义，使恶人自食其果。（细拉）

我从太初就预言末后的事，从亘古就宣布将来的事。我的旨意必成就，我的计划必实现。

到我所定的日子，你们必践踏恶人，他们必成为你们脚下的尘土。’这是万军之耶和华说的。

让那些智者明白这一切，让那些明哲了解这一切。因为耶和华的道是正道，义人要行走在上面，罪人却在上面跌倒。

他的父母不知道这事是出于耶和华的旨意，祂要找机会对付非利士人。那时，非利士人统治着以色列。

申冤在我，我必报应，到时候他们必站不住脚，他们遭祸的日子近了，他们的末日来了。’

耶和华说，‘谁愿意去引诱亚哈到基列的拉末去送死呢？’众天军议论纷纷。

然后，再膏立宁示的孙子耶户做以色列王，还要膏立亚伯·米何拉人沙法的儿子以利沙做先知来接替你。
