The fear of God came on all the surrounding kingdoms when they heard how the Lord had fought against the enemies of Israel.

All the surrounding kingdoms began to have respect for God. They had heard how the Lord had fought against Israel’s enemies.

When all the surrounding kingdoms heard that the Lord himself had fought against the enemies of Israel, the fear of God came over them.

The terror of God was on all the kingdoms of the lands when they heard that the LORD had fought against the enemies of Israel.

And the dread of God was on all the kingdoms of the lands when they heard that the Lord had fought against the enemies of Israel.

For we have heard a report of him, and all that he did in Egypt,and all that he did to the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, to Sihon the king of Heshbon, and to Og king of Bashan, who lived in Ashtaroth.So our elders and all the inhabitants of our country said to us,‘ Take provisions in your hand for the journey and go to meet them and say to them,“ We are your servants. Come now, make a covenant with us.”’

I will send my terror before you and will throw into confusion all the people against whom you shall come, and I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you.
