神啊！你在古时，在我们列祖的日子所作的事，我们亲耳听见了，我们的列祖也给我们述说过。

来吧，我们来向耶和华歌唱，向拯救我们的磐石欢呼。我们要来到他面前称谢他，用诗歌向他欢呼。

吹号的和歌唱的都一致同声地赞美称谢耶和华。他们吹号、敲钹，用各种乐器高声赞美耶和华，说：“耶和华是良善的，他的慈爱永远长存。”那时云彩充满了那殿，就是耶和华的殿。

大卫和军队的领袖，也给亚萨、希幔和耶杜顿的子孙分派了任务，叫他们用琴瑟响钹说预言。他们任职的人数如下：亚萨的儿子有撒刻、约瑟、尼探雅和亚萨利拉；亚萨的儿子都归亚萨指挥，遵照王的旨意说预言。至于耶杜顿，他的儿子有基大利、西利、耶筛亚、示每、哈沙比雅和玛他提雅，共六人，都归他们的父亲耶杜顿指挥。耶杜顿用琴说预言，称谢和赞美耶和华。至于希幔，他的儿子有布基雅、玛探雅、乌薛、细布业、耶利摩、哈拿尼雅、哈拿尼、以利亚他、基大利提、罗幔提．以谢、约施比加沙、玛罗提、何提和玛哈秀。这些人都是希幔的儿子；希幔是王的先见，照着神的话高举他（“高举他”原文作“高举角”）。神赐给希幔十四个儿子，三个女儿。这些人都归他们的父亲指挥，在耶和华的殿里歌颂，用响钹和琴瑟在神的殿事奉。亚萨、耶杜顿和希幔都是由王指挥的。他们和他们的亲族，在歌颂耶和华的事上受过特别训练，精于歌唱的，人数共有二百八十八人。

又有玛西雅、示玛雅、以利亚撒、乌西、约哈难、玛基雅、以拦和以谢；歌唱者在伊斯拉希雅领导下，高声歌唱。那一天，众人献上极大的祭祀，而且非常欢乐，因为神使他们大大欢乐；连妇女和孩童也都欢乐；耶路撒冷欢乐的声音在老远的地方都可以听见。

希幔、耶杜顿和他们一起吹号敲钹，以及演奏各种乐器，大声歌颂神。耶杜顿的子孙负责守门。

很多年老的祭司、利未人和族长，曾经见过先前的殿，眼见这殿的根基再次奠立，就放声大哭，但也有许多人高声欢呼，以致分不清到底是欢呼声或哭声。因为众人都大声呼喊，这声音在很远的地方也可以听见。

要向神我们的力量欢呼，要向雅各的神大声呼叫。
