Jehu the seer, the son of Hanani, went out to meet him and said to the king,“ Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord? Because of this, the wrath of the Lord is on you.

Jehu the prophet went out to meet him. He was the son of Hanani. Jehu said to the king,“ You shouldn’t help evil people. You shouldn’t love those who hate the Lord. The Lord is angry with you.

But Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him and said to King Jehoshaphat,“ Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord? Because of this, wrath has gone out against you from the Lord.

Jehu son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him.“ Why should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord?” he asked the king.“ Because of what you have done, the Lord is very angry with you.

Then Jehu son of the seer Hanani went out to confront him and said to King Jehoshaphat,“ Do you help the wicked and love those who hate the LORD? Because of this, the LORD’s wrath is on you.

And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him and said to King Jehoshaphat,“ Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord, and by doing so bring wrath on yourself from the Lord?

And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to King Jehoshaphat,“ Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord? Therefore the wrath of the Lord is upon you.

And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the wicked, and love them that hate Jehovah? for this thing wrath is upon thee from before Jehovah.

the prophet Jehu son of Hanani confronted him; he said to King Jehoshaphat,“ Is it right to help the wicked and be an ally of those who oppose the LORD? Because you have done this the LORD is angry with you!

Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat,“ Should you help the wicked, and love those who hate Yahweh? Because of this, wrath is on you from before Yahweh.

Do I not hate those who hate you, Lord, and abhor those who are in rebellion against you?I have nothing but hatred for them; I count them my enemies. (niv)

The other events of Jehoshaphat’s reign, from beginning to end, are written in the annals of Jehu son of Hanani, which are recorded in the book of the kings of Israel. (niv)

But Hezekiah’s heart was proud and he did not respond to the kindness shown him; therefore the Lord’s wrath was on him and on Judah and Jerusalem. (niv)

They abandoned the temple of the Lord, the God of their ancestors, and worshiped Asherah poles and idols. Because of their guilt, God’s anger came on Judah and Jerusalem. (niv)

At that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah and said to him:“ Because you relied on the king of Aram and not on the Lord your God, the army of the king of Aram has escaped from your hand. (niv)

Ahab king of Israel asked Jehoshaphat king of Judah,“ Will you go with me against Ramoth Gilead?” Jehoshaphat replied,“ I am as you are, and my people as your people; we will join you in the war.” (niv)

Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. (niv)

Then the word of the Lord came to Jehu son of Hanani concerning Baasha: (niv)

Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them. (niv)

The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. (niv)

( Formerly in Israel, if someone went to inquire of God, they would say,“ Come, let us go to the seer,” because the prophet of today used to be called a seer.) (niv)

You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. (niv)

My son, if sinful men entice you, do not give in to them.If they say,“ Come along with us; let’s lie in wait for innocent blood, let’s ambush some harmless soul;let’s swallow them alive, like the grave, and whole, like those who go down to the pit;we will get all sorts of valuable things and fill our houses with plunder;cast lots with us; we will all share the loot”—my son, do not go along with them, do not set foot on their paths;for their feet rush into evil, they are swift to shed blood.How useless to spread a net where every bird can see it!These men lie in wait for their own blood; they ambush only themselves!Such are the paths of all who go after ill-gotten gain; it takes away the life of those who get it. We are consumed by your anger and terrified by your indignation.You have set our iniquities before you, our secret sins in the light of your presence. (niv)

slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; (niv)

So Zimri destroyed the whole family of Baasha, in accordance with the word of the Lord spoken against Baasha through the prophet Jehu— (niv)

Bless all his skills, Lord, and be pleased with the work of his hands. Strike down those who rise against him, his foes till they rise no more.” (niv)

But those who hate him he will repay to their face by destruction; he will not be slow to repay to their face those who hate him. (niv)

My mouth will tell of your righteous deeds, of your saving acts all day long— though I know not how to relate them all. (niv)

But if we were more discerning with regard to ourselves, we would not come under such judgment.Nevertheless, when we are judged in this way by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be finally condemned with the world. (niv)

The king of Israel answered Jehoshaphat,“ There is still one prophet through whom we can inquire of the Lord, but I hate him because he never prophesies anything good about me, but always bad. He is Micaiah son of Imlah.”“ The king should not say such a thing,” Jehoshaphat replied. (niv)

who despises a vile person but honors those who fear the Lord; who keeps an oath even when it hurts, and does not change their mind; (niv)

The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, (niv)

You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, (niv)

Moreover, the word of the Lord came through the prophet Jehu son of Hanani to Baasha and his house, because of all the evil he had done in the eyes of the Lord, arousing his anger by the things he did, becoming like the house of Jeroboam— and also because he destroyed it. (niv)

So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah went up to Ramoth Gilead. (niv)

Now Jehoshaphat had great wealth and honor, and he allied himself with Ahab by marriage. (niv)

May God arise, may his enemies be scattered; may his foes flee before him. (niv)

( There was never anyone like Ahab, who sold himself to do evil in the eyes of the Lord, urged on by Jezebel his wife. (niv)
