The king of Israel then ordered,“ Take Micaiah and send him back to Amon the ruler of the city and to Joash the king’s son,

Then the king of Israel gave an order. He said,“ Take Micaiah away. Send him back to Amon. Amon is the ruler of the city of Samaria. And send Micaiah back to Joash. Joash is a member of the royal court.

And the king of Israel said,“ Seize Micaiah and take him back to Amon the governor of the city and to Joash the king’s son,

“ Arrest him!” the king of Israel ordered.“ Take him back to Amon, the governor of the city, and to my son Joash.

保罗讲论公义、节制和将来的审判，腓力斯害怕起来，就回答：“你暂且去吧！等我有机会时再来叫你。”腓力斯又指望保罗送他银钱，所以屡次叫他来，和他谈论。过了两年，波求‧非斯都接了腓力斯的任；腓力斯要讨犹太人的喜欢，就把保罗留在监里。

官长们恼怒耶利米，打了他，把他囚在约拿单文士的房屋中，因为他们把这屋子当作监牢。耶利米来到地牢，进入牢房，在那里拘留多日。西底家王差人提他出来，在自己的宫内私下问他说：“有什么话从耶和华临到没有？”耶利米说：“有！”又说：“你必被交在巴比伦王手中。”耶利米又对西底家王说：“我在什么事上得罪你，或你的臣仆，或这百姓，你们竟将我囚在监里呢？对你们预言‘巴比伦王必不来攻击你们和这地’的先知在哪里呢？主—我的王啊，现在求你垂听，允准我在你面前的恳求：不要把我送回约拿单文士的房屋中，免得我死在那里。”于是西底家王下令，他们就把耶利米交在护卫兵的院中，每天从饼店街取一个饼给他，直到城中所有的饼都用尽了。这样，耶利米仍逗留在护卫兵的院中。

他们就拿住耶利米，把他丢在王的儿子玛基雅的井里；那口井在护卫兵的院中。他们用绳子把耶利米缒下去，井里没有水，只有淤泥，耶利米就陷在淤泥中。在王宫里的太监古实人以伯‧米勒，听见他们把耶利米丢进井里，那时王坐在便雅悯门前。

约西亚王十八年，这地和殿洁净了之后，他派亚萨利雅的儿子沙番、玛西雅市长、约哈斯的儿子约亚史官去整修耶和华—他神的殿。
