The king of Israel then ordered,“ Take Micaiah and send him back to Amon the ruler of the city and to Joash the king’s son,

Then the king of Israel gave an order. He said,“ Take Micaiah away. Send him back to Amon. Amon is the ruler of the city of Samaria. And send Micaiah back to Joash. Joash is a member of the royal court.

And the king of Israel said,“ Seize Micaiah and take him back to Amon the governor of the city and to Joash the king’s son,

“ Arrest him!” the king of Israel ordered.“ Take him back to Amon, the governor of the city, and to my son Joash.

Then the king of Israel ordered,“ Take Micaiah and return him to Amon, the governor of the city, and to Joash, the king’s son,

Then the king of Israel said,“ Take Micaiah and return him to Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king’s son;

保羅講到公義、自制和將來的審判的時候，腓力斯就害怕起來，說：“你先走吧，等我有空的時候再叫你來。”同時他也希望保羅送錢給他，所以又多次傳見他，和他談話。過了兩年，波求．非斯都接了腓力斯的任；腓力斯為要討好猶太人，就把保羅留在監裡。

眾領袖都惱怒耶利米，就打他，並且把他關進監裡，就是在書記約拿單的房子裡，因為他們已把這房子改作監獄。耶利米進了地牢裡的一個囚房，在那裡監禁了多日。後來，西底家王派人去把他帶出來；王在自己的宮中私下問他，說：“從耶和華那裡有話來嗎？”耶利米回答：“有！”又說：“你必交在巴比倫王的手中。”耶利米再對西底家王說：“我有甚麼得罪你，或你的臣僕，或這人民，你竟然把我送進監獄裡呢？你們的先知曾向你們預言說：‘巴比倫王必不會來攻擊你們和這地。’他們現今在哪裡呢？我主我王啊！現在求你垂聽，求你容我向你懇求！不要把我送回書記約拿單的房子去，免得我死在那裡。”於是西底家王下令，把耶利米拘留在衛兵的院子裡；他們每天從餅鋪街拿一個餅給他，直到城裡的餅都吃光了。耶利米就這樣留在衛兵的院子裡。

他們就拿住耶利米，把他丟在王子瑪基雅的井裡，那井是在衛兵的院子裡的；他們用繩子把耶利米縋下去。井裡沒有水，只有淤泥；耶利米就陷在淤泥中。宮中的臣宰古實人以伯．米勒，在王宮裡聽見他們把耶利米關在井裡的消息（那時，王正在便雅憫門坐著），

約西亞在位第十八年，潔淨猶大地和聖殿以後，就差派亞薩利雅的兒子沙番、市長瑪西雅和約哈斯的兒子史官約亞，去修築耶和華他的神的殿。
