“ So now the Lord has put a deceiving spirit in the mouths of these prophets of yours. The Lord has decreed disaster for you.”

“ Now, you see, the LORD has put a lying spirit into the mouth of these prophets of yours, and the LORD has pronounced disaster against you.”

耶和華使錯謬的靈進入他們當中，使他們像又嘔又吐、東倒西歪的醉漢，做什麼都錯誤百出。

如果先知受迷惑說預言，那是我耶和華任他胡作非為，我必伸手懲治他，把他從我的以色列百姓中除滅。

祂充滿力量和智慧。騙子和受騙者都在祂權下。

他來要按照撒旦的伎倆行各樣虛假的異能、神蹟和奇事，用盡各樣詭計欺騙那些將要滅亡的人，因為他們不喜歡接受那能拯救他們的真理。上帝就讓他們是非不辨，去相信那些虛假的謊言，

因此，你去告訴猶大人和耶路撒冷的居民，『耶和華說，我正計劃降災禍懲罰你們。你們要離開罪惡，改邪歸正。』

聖靈明確地說，日後必有人離棄真道，去追隨那些迷惑人的邪靈和鬼魔的學說。這些學說是出自假冒偽善的騙子，他們良心喪盡，麻木不仁，

所以，耶和華說：「我正計劃降災懲罰你們，你們無法逃脫，再也不能趾高氣揚，因為這是你們災禍臨頭的日子。

耶和華對摩西說：「你到了埃及，見到法老的時候，務要照我賜給你的能力在法老面前行神蹟。但我要使他的心剛硬，他必不讓百姓離開。

「人子啊，這些人在心裡立起偶像，把導致犯罪的絆腳石放在自己面前，我豈能讓他們來求問？你告訴他們，主耶和華這樣說，『任何以色列人若在心裡立起偶像，把導致犯罪的絆腳石放在自己面前，又來求問先知，我耶和華必按他心中假神的數目親自用懲罰回答他，好奪回以色列人的心，他們因為拜偶像而遠離我。』

為什麼呢？難道我不愛你們嗎？上帝知道我愛你們！我現在所做的，將來還會繼續做下去，為了要斷絕那些投機分子的機會，使他們無法吹噓自己的職分與我們一樣。其實這些人是假使徒，為人詭詐，冒充基督的使徒。

因為假基督和假先知將出現，行很大的神蹟奇事來迷惑人，如果可能，甚至要迷惑上帝揀選的子民。你們要記住，我已經預先告訴你們了。

以色列王回答說：「還有一個人，是音拉的兒子米該雅，我們可以託他求問耶和華。可是我厭惡他，因為他給我的預言都是有凶無吉。」約沙法說：「王不要這樣說。」

惡人有禍了！他們必大禍臨頭，受到報應。

耶穌說：「是你們十二個人中的一個，他現在正和我一起在盤子裡蘸餅吃。人子一定會受害，正如聖經的記載，但出賣人子的人有禍了，他還不如不生在這世上！」

以色列王約阿施派人回覆猶大王亞瑪謝說：「黎巴嫩的蒺藜派使者去對黎巴嫩的香柏樹說，『將你的女兒嫁給我兒子吧。』後來黎巴嫩的一隻野獸經過，把那蒺藜踐踏在腳下。
