有人把先知以賽亞的書交給他，他就打開，找到一處寫着說：主的靈在我身上，因為他用膏膏我，叫我傳福音給貧窮的人；差遣我報告：被擄的得釋放，瞎眼的得看見，叫那受壓制的得自由，報告神悅納人的禧年。

只要剛強，大大壯膽，謹守遵行我僕人摩西所吩咐你的一切律法，不可偏離左右，使你無論往哪裏去，都可以順利。這律法書不可離開你的口，總要晝夜思想，好使你謹守遵行這書上所寫的一切話。如此，你的道路就可以亨通，凡事順利。

「你的門徒為甚麼犯古人的遺傳呢？因為吃飯的時候，他們不洗手。」耶穌回答說：「你們為甚麼因着你們的遺傳犯神的誡命呢？神說：『當孝敬父母』；又說：『咒罵父母的，必治死他。』你們倒說：『無論何人對父母說：我所當奉給你的已經作了供獻，他就可以不孝敬父母。』這就是你們藉着遺傳，廢了神的誡命。假冒為善的人哪，以賽亞指着你們說的預言是不錯的。他說：這百姓用嘴唇尊敬我，心卻遠離我；他們將人的吩咐當作道理教導人，所以拜我也是枉然。」

又對那歸耶和華為聖、教訓以色列人的利未人說：「你們將聖約櫃安放在以色列王大衛兒子所羅門建造的殿裏，不必再用肩扛擡。現在要事奉耶和華－你們的神，服事他的民以色列。

耶書亞、巴尼、示利比、雅憫、亞谷、沙比太、荷第雅、瑪西雅、基利他、亞撒利雅、約撒拔、哈難、毗萊雅，和利未人使百姓明白律法；百姓都站在自己的地方。

因為從古以來，摩西的書在各城有人傳講，每逢安息日，在會堂裏誦讀。」

凡事大有好處：第一是神的聖言交託他們。

「以色列啊，你要聽！耶和華－我們神是獨一的主。你要盡心、盡性、盡力愛耶和華－你的神。我今日所吩咐你的話都要記在心上，也要殷勤教訓你的兒女。無論你坐在家裏，行在路上，躺下，起來，都要談論。也要繫在手上為記號，戴在額上為經文；又要寫在你房屋的門框上，並你的城門上。」

你們如果信摩西，也必信我，因為他書上有指着我寫的話。

他們和保羅約定了日子，就有許多人到他的寓處來。保羅從早到晚，對他們講論這事，證明神國的道，引摩西的律法和先知的書，以耶穌的事勸勉他們。

你們查考聖經，因你們以為內中有永生；給我作見證的就是這經。

以色列眾人來到耶和華－你神所選擇的地方朝見他。那時，你要在以色列眾人面前將這律法念給他們聽。要招聚他們男、女、孩子，並城裏寄居的，使他們聽，使他們學習，好敬畏耶和華－你們的神，謹守、遵行這律法的一切話，也使他們未曾曉得這律法的兒女得以聽見，學習敬畏耶和華－你們的神，在你們過約旦河要得為業之地，存活的日子，常常這樣行。」

所以，你們要去，使萬民作我的門徒，奉父、子、聖靈的名給他們施洗。凡我所吩咐你們的，都教訓他們遵守，我就常與你們同在，直到世界的末了。」

人當以訓誨和法度為標準；他們所說的，若不與此相符，必不得見晨光。

有人在這城裏逼迫你們，就逃到那城裏去。我實在告訴你們，以色列的城邑，你們還沒有走遍，人子就到了。

讀完了律法和先知的書，管會堂的叫人過去，對他們說：「二位兄台，若有甚麼勸勉眾人的話，請說。」

若有講道的，要按着神的聖言講；若有服事人的，要按着神所賜的力量服事，叫神在凡事上因耶穌基督得榮耀。原來榮耀、權能都是他的，直到永永遠遠。阿們！

後來有人在亞鎖都遇見腓利；他走遍那地方，在各城宣傳福音，直到凱撒利亞。

耶穌吩咐完了十二個門徒，就離開那裏，往各城去傳道、教訓人。
