他作王第八年，尚且年幼，就尋求他祖大衛的神。到了十二年才潔淨猶大和耶路撒冷，除掉邱壇、木偶、雕刻的像，和鑄造的像。眾人在他面前拆毀巴力的壇，砍斷壇上高高的日像，又把木偶和雕刻的像，並鑄造的像打碎成灰，撒在祭偶像人的墳上，將他們祭司的骸骨燒在壇上，潔淨了猶大和耶路撒冷；又在瑪拿西、以法蓮、西緬、拿弗他利各城，和四圍破壞之處，都這樣行；又拆毀祭壇，把木偶和雕刻的像打碎成灰，砍斷以色列遍地所有的日像，就回耶路撒冷去了。

說：「你這充滿各樣詭詐奸惡，魔鬼的兒子，眾善的仇敵，你混亂主的正道還不止住嗎？

他們要歌頌耶和華的作為，因耶和華大有榮耀。

這事既都完畢，在那裏的以色列眾人就到猶大的城邑，打碎柱像，砍斷木偶，又在猶大、便雅憫、以法蓮、瑪拿西遍地將邱壇和祭壇拆毀淨盡。於是以色列眾人各回各城，各歸各地。

你就要以全能者為喜樂，向神仰起臉來。

因為我遵守了耶和華的道，未曾作惡離開我的神。他的一切典章常在我面前；他的律例我也未曾丟棄。

誰是智慧人？可以明白這些事；誰是通達人？可以知道這一切。因為，耶和華的道是正直的；義人必在其中行走，罪人卻在其上跌倒。

行為完全、遵行耶和華律法的，這人便為有福！
