示撒率领一千二百辆战车、六万骑兵及无数的路比人、苏基人和古实人。

那时，哈拿尼先见晋见犹大王亚撒说：“因为你不倚靠你的上帝耶和华，反而倚靠亚兰王，所以亚兰王的军队已经从你手中逃脱。

这样，以色列人被击败，犹大人因为倚靠他们祖先的上帝耶和华而大获全胜。

耶和华是受欺压之人的避难所，是他们患难之时的避风港。耶和华啊，凡认识你名的人都必信靠你，因为你从来不丢弃寻求你的人。
