那些到埃及尋求幫助的人有禍了！他們仰賴戰馬，倚靠眾多的戰車和強壯的騎兵，卻不仰望以色列的聖者，不尋求耶和華。然而，耶和華有智慧，會降災，從不收回自己的話。祂必懲罰惡人之家及其幫兇。埃及人不過是人，並非上帝；埃及的戰馬是血肉之軀，並非神靈。耶和華一伸手，那些幫兇必踉蹌，受幫助的必跌倒，他們必一同滅亡。

摩西對亞倫說：「這些百姓對你做了什麼？你竟使他們陷入大罪中！」

愚鈍無知、不守信用、無情無義、毫無憐憫。他們明知，按上帝公義的法則，做這些事的人該死，不但執迷不悟，還喜歡別人跟他們同流合污。

你們不可跟這裡的居民立約，要毀掉他們的祭壇。』可是你們為什麼不聽呢？

亞比米勒召見亞伯拉罕，對他說：「你為什麼要害我們？我什麼地方得罪了你？你竟使我和我的人民陷入大罪！你不該這樣做。」又說：「你為什麼這樣做？」

哈拿尼先見的兒子耶戶出來迎接約沙法王，對他說：「你怎能幫助惡人，愛那憎恨耶和華的人呢？你這樣做已經惹怒耶和華了。

上帝的殿與偶像怎能相提並論呢？因為我們就是永活上帝的殿，正如上帝說：「我要住在他們中間，在他們當中往來；我要作他們的上帝，他們要作我的子民。」

他鄙視惡人，尊重那些敬畏耶和華的人。他起了誓，即使吃虧也不背誓。

原來基遍人不是以色列人，他們是亞摩利人的遺民。以色列人曾起誓不傷害他們，但掃羅為以色列人和猶大人發熱心，試圖剷除基遍人。大衛就召來基遍人，

以色列王亞哈對猶大王約沙法說：「你願意與我一起去攻打基列的拉末嗎？」約沙法回答說：「你我不分彼此，我的民就是你的民，我必與你同去。」
