義者責我、我以為仁慈、視若香膏、屢膏余首、無不悅懌、余有所祈、勿為惡者株連兮。

大闢核民既畢、中心不安、禱於耶和華曰、我所行者、大干罪戾、不智孰甚、求耶和華宥僕之過。先見者伽得為大闢所倚重、詰朝大闢起、耶和華命彼、往告大闢曰、三災之中、耶和華必降一於爾、使爾自擇。伽得告大闢曰、或饑饉臨於爾土、歷至七年、或為敵追襲、歷至三月、或瘟疫流行爾國、歷至三日、爾其思之、俾我反告遣我者。大闢曰我迫阨甚矣耶和華矜憫為懷、願陷於其手、勿陷於人手。

惟爾敵人、素使爾曲躬俯伏、俟其踰越而行、若遨遊於通衢、我必使彼飲焉。

大闢遣使取之、既至與之偕寢、婦蒙不潔、自濯其身而歸。

譴責侮慢者、反受凌辱、督責惡人者、反見污衊。規諫侮慢者、必為所憾、勸勉智慧者、可蒙其愛。訓迪智人、則其智日加、指示義人、則其學日進。

郇邑及耶路撒冷民曰、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、噬予滅予、使我為虛器、吞我若蛇、飫我肥甘、逐我遠去、彼虐遇予、殺予戚屬、罪必歸巴比倫、及迦勒底民。
