掃羅說：『這是人從亞瑪力那裏帶來的，因為眾民顧惜最好的羊和牛，要祭獻與永恆主你的上帝；其餘的我們都盡行殺滅歸神了。』

如今我們將奉給永恆主的供物、都帶了來，各人帶他所得的金器、腳鍊子、鐲子、列印戒指、耳環、手釧，好在永恆主面前為我們自己除罪。』

這示羅密和他的弟兄管理分別為聖之物的一切府庫、就是大衛王和眾父系族長、千夫長、百夫長、軍長所分別為聖之物。他們將爭戰時所掠得的財物分別為聖，以備修理永恆主之殿的用處。

所羅門王獻了牛二萬二千隻、羊十二萬隻為祭：這樣、王和眾民就為上帝的殿行了奉獻禮。

所羅門上到那裏、到會棚裏永恆主面前的銅壇旁，獻上成千的燔祭牲在壇上。

你要從出去打仗的戰士提出貢物來、奉給永恆主；無論是由人口、由牛、由驢、由羊羣之中、都要每五百取一。你們要從他們那半份之中取去、交給祭司以利亞撒，作為奉給永恆主的提獻物。

但是眾民卻從掠物中取了那當毁滅歸神之物上好的、羊和牛，要在吉甲祭獻與永恆主你的上帝。』
