耶和華見其如是、則命先知示罵雅曰、彼卑以自牧、我不殲滅、乃必拯救、不假手於示撒、洩怒於耶路撒冷。

When the Lord saw that they humbled themselves, this word of the Lord came to Shemaiah:“ Since they have humbled themselves, I will not destroy them but will soon give them deliverance. My wrath will not be poured out on Jerusalem through Shishak.

The Lord saw they had made themselves humble. So he gave a message to Shemaiah. The Lord said,“ They have made themselves humble in my sight. So I will not destroy them. Instead, I will soon save them. Even though I am very angry with Jerusalem, I will not use Shishak to destroy them.

When the Lord saw that they humbled themselves, the word of the Lord came to Shemaiah:“ They have humbled themselves. I will not destroy them, but I will grant them some deliverance, and my wrath shall not be poured out on Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak.

When the Lord saw their change of heart, he gave this message to Shemaiah:“ Since the people have humbled themselves, I will not completely destroy them and will soon give them some relief. I will not use Shishak to pour out my anger on Jerusalem.

When the LORD saw that they had humbled themselves, the LORD’s message came to Shemaiah:“ They have humbled themselves; I will not destroy them but will grant them a little deliverance. My wrath will not be poured out on Jerusalem through Shishak.

When Yahweh saw that they humbled themselves, Yahweh’s word came to Shemaiah, saying,“ They have humbled themselves. I will not destroy them; but I will grant them some deliverance, and my wrath won’t be poured out on Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak.

以色列人對耶和華說：「我們犯罪了，照你看為好的待我們，只求你今日拯救我們吧！」以色列人就除掉他們中間的外邦神明，事奉耶和華。耶和華因以色列所受的苦難而心裏焦急。

第一位天使去，把碗傾倒在地上，就有又臭又毒的瘡生在那些有獸的印記和拜獸像的人身上。第二位天使把碗傾倒在海裏，海就變成像死人的血一樣，海裏所有的活物都死了。第三位天使把碗傾倒在河流和水源裏，水就變成血了。我聽見掌管眾水的天使說：「昔在、今在的聖者啊，你做的判斷公義；因他們曾流過聖徒與先知的血，現在你給他們血喝，這是他們該受的。」我又聽見祭壇中有聲音說：「是的，主－全能的上帝啊，你的判斷又真實又公義！」第四位天使把碗傾倒在太陽上，使太陽可用火烤人。人被炎熱所烤，就褻瀆那有權掌管這些災難的上帝的名，他們沒有悔改，也沒有把榮耀歸給上帝。第五位天使把碗傾倒在獸的座位上，獸的國就變成黑暗。人因疼痛而咬自己的舌頭；又因所受的疼痛和生的瘡，就褻瀆天上的上帝，也沒有為他們的行為悔改。第六位天使把碗傾倒在大幼發拉底河上，河水就乾了，為要給從日出之地所來的眾王預備道路。我又看見三個污穢的靈，好像青蛙，從龍的口、獸的口和假先知的口中出來。他們本是鬼魔的靈，施行奇事，到普天下眾王那裏去，召集他們在全能者上帝的大日子作戰。看哪，我來像賊一樣。那警醒、穿着衣服的人有福了；他不至於赤身而行，給人看見他的羞恥。於是，那三個鬼魔把眾王聚集在希伯來話叫作哈米吉多頓的地方。第七位天使把碗傾倒在空中，就有大聲音從聖所的寶座上出來，說：「成了！」

求你將你的憤怒傾倒在那不認識你的萬邦和那不求告你名的國度。

耶和華對這事改變心意，主耶和華說：「這災也可免了。」他又指示我一件事，看哪，主手拿鉛垂線，站立在依鉛垂線建好的牆邊。耶和華對我說：「阿摩司，你看見甚麼？」我說：「鉛垂線。」主說：「看哪，我要在我子民以色列中吊起鉛垂線，不再寬恕他們。

耶和華卻因與亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各所立的約，仍施恩給以色列人，憐憫他們，眷顧他們，不肯滅盡他們，直到現在仍不趕逐他們離開自己面前。

我要起來，到我父親那裏去，對他說：父親！我得罪了天，又得罪了你，從今以後，我不配稱為你的兒子，把我當作一個雇工吧。』於是他起來，往他父親那裏去。相離還遠，他父親看見，就動了慈心，跑去擁抱着他，連連親他。兒子對他說：『父親！我得罪了天，又得罪了你，從今以後，我不配稱為你的兒子。』

「你們去，以所發現這書上的話，為我、為以色列和猶大倖存的人求問耶和華；因為我們的祖先沒有遵守耶和華的話，沒有照這書上所記的一切去做，耶和華的烈怒就倒在我們身上。」

只要承認你的罪孽，就是違背耶和華－你的上帝，在各青翠的樹下追逐外族的神明，沒有聽從我的話。這是耶和華說的

約哈斯懇求耶和華，耶和華就應允他，因為耶和華看見以色列所受的欺壓，因亞蘭王欺壓他們。耶和華賜給以色列一位拯救者，使他們脫離亞蘭人的手，於是以色列人仍舊安居在自己的帳棚裏。然而他們不離開耶羅波安家使以色列陷入罪裏的那罪，仍行在罪中，並且在撒瑪利亞留下亞舍拉。亞蘭王滅絕約哈斯的軍隊，踐踏他們如禾場上的塵沙，只給約哈斯留下五十騎兵，十輛戰車，一萬步兵。

所以主耶和華如此說：「看哪，我必將我的怒氣和憤怒傾倒在這地方的人和牲畜身上、田野的樹木和地裏的出產上，它必燃燒，不會熄滅。」

但他有憐憫，赦免他們的罪孽，沒有滅絕他們，而且屢次撤銷他的怒氣，不發盡他的憤怒。

我也行事與他們作對，把他們遣送到敵人之地。那時，他們未受割禮的心若肯謙卑，也服了罪孽的懲罰，我就要記念我與雅各的約，記念我與以撒的約，與亞伯拉罕的約；我也要記念這地。

所以，他將猛烈的怒氣和戰爭的威力傾倒在以色列身上；在他周圍如火燃起，他竟然不知，燒着了，他也不在意。

他也必喝上帝烈怒的酒；這酒是斟在上帝憤怒的杯中的純酒。他要在聖天使和羔羊面前，在火與硫磺之中受痛苦。

耶和華的話臨到提斯比人以利亞，說：「亞哈在我面前這樣謙卑，你看見了嗎？因為他在我面前謙卑，所以在他的日子，我不降這禍；到他兒子的時候，我必降這禍於他的家。」
