So the king did not listen to the people, for this turn of events was from God, to fulfill the word the Lord had spoken to Jeroboam son of Nebat through Ahijah the Shilonite.

So the king didn’t listen to the people. That’s because God had planned it that way. What the Lord had said through Ahijah came true. Ahijah had spoken the Lord’ s message to Jeroboam, the son of Nebat. Ahijah was from Shiloh.

So the king did not listen to the people, for it was a turn of affairs brought about by God that the Lord might fulfill his word, which he spoke by Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam the son of Nebat.

有一次，耶羅波安出了耶路撒冷，在路上遇見身披新衣的示羅人亞希雅先知。當時野外只有他們二人。亞希雅將身上的新衣撕作十二片，對耶羅波安說：「你可以拿十片。以色列的上帝耶和華說，『我必奪走所羅門的國，把十個支派賜給你。然而，為了我僕人大衛和我在以色列眾支派中揀選的耶路撒冷城，我會留下一個支派給所羅門。所羅門背棄了我，去祭拜西頓人的女神亞斯她錄、摩押的神明基抹、亞捫人的神明米勒公。他沒有遵行我的道，沒有做我視為正的事，也不像他父親大衛那樣遵守我的律例和典章。然而，我不會奪走他整個國，我會讓所羅門終生為王，因為我所揀選的僕人大衛遵守我的誡命和律法。我必從他兒子手中把國奪走，將十個支派賜給你，只給他兒子留下一個支派，好使我僕人大衛有後裔留在我選為居所的耶路撒冷城。我要讓你做王，使你如願地統治以色列。若你像我僕人大衛一樣聽從我的一切吩咐，遵行我的道，做我視為正的事，遵守我的律例誡命，我就與你同在，鞏固你的王朝，像鞏固大衛的王朝一樣，使你統治以色列。因所羅門的所作所為，我必讓大衛的後裔遭難，但不會永遠如此。』」

上帝照著自己的計劃和預知把耶穌交在你們手裡，你們藉著邪惡之人的手把祂釘死在十字架上了。

耶和華使錯謬的靈進入他們當中，使他們像又嘔又吐、東倒西歪的醉漢，做什麼都錯誤百出。

所羅門一生的事蹟，自始至終都記在拿單先知的史記、示羅人亞希雅的《預言書》和易多先見論尼八的兒子耶羅波安的《啟示書》中。

耶和華說，『誰願意去引誘亞哈到基列的拉末去送死呢？』眾天軍議論紛紛。

於是，士兵上前把與耶穌同釘十字架的兩個人的腿都打斷了。但是他們來到耶穌那裡時，發現祂已經死了，就沒有打斷祂的腿，只是有一個士兵用矛刺了一下祂的肋旁，頓時有血和水流了出來。看見這事的人為此做見證，他的見證是真實的，他知道自己所說的是事實，好讓你們可以相信。這些事的發生是為了應驗聖經上的話：「祂的骨頭一根也不會折斷」；

他們就商量說：「不要撕破它，讓我們抽籤決定給誰吧。」這件事是要應驗聖經上的話：「他們分了我的外衣，又為我的內衣抽籤。」士兵果然這樣做了。

耶和華這樣說，『你們不要上去與以色列同胞交戰，都回家吧！今日的景況是出於我的旨意。』」眾人聽從了耶和華的話，各自回家去了。
