所羅門回答說：「你厚待我父大衛，並讓我繼位。

所羅門對上帝說：『你曾向我父大衛大施堅固的愛，使我接替他作王。

所羅門曰、爾施鴻慈於我父大衛、使我繼之為王、

所羅門曰、爾施厚恩於我父大闢、令我繼位。

所羅門對天主曰、主賜大恩於我父大衛、使我繼之為王、

Solomon answered God,“ You have shown great kindness to David my father and have made me king in his place.

Solomon answered God,“ You were very kind to my father David. Now you have made me king in his place.

And Solomon said to God,“ You have shown great and steadfast love to David my father, and have made me king in his place.

Solomon replied to God,“ You showed great and faithful love to David, my father, and now you have made me king in his place.

And Solomon said to God,“ You have shown great and faithful love to my father David, and you have made me king in his place.

And Solomon said to God,“ You have dealt with my father David with great faithfulness, and have made me king in his place.

And Solomon said to God:“ You have shown great mercy to David my father, and have made me king in his place.

And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast showed great lovingkindness unto David my father, and hast made me king in his stead.

And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast shewed great mercy unto David my father, and hast made me to reign in his stead.

Solomon replied to God,“ You demonstrated great loyalty to my father David and have made me king in his place.

Solomon said to God,“ You have shown great loving kindness to David my father, and have made me king in his place.

And out of all my sons— for the Lord has given me many sons— He has chosen my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the Lord’s kingdom over Israel.

Solomon sat on the Lord’s throne as king in place of his father David. He prospered, and all Israel obeyed him.

He is a tower of salvation for His king; He shows loyalty to His anointed, to David and his descendants forever.These are the last words of David: The declaration of David son of Jesse, the declaration of the man raised on high, the one anointed by the God of Jacob, the favorite singer of Israel:

Nathan replied to David,“ You are the man! This is what the Lord God of Israel says:‘ I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul.I gave your master’s house to you and your master’s wives into your arms, and I gave you the house of Israel and Judah, and if that was not enough, I would have given you even more.

Lord, where are the former acts of Your faithful love that You swore to David in Your faithfulness?

I have found David My servant; I have anointed him with My sacred oil.My hand will always be with him, and My arm will strengthen him.The enemy will not afflict him; no wicked man will oppress him.I will crush his foes before him and strike those who hate him.My faithfulness and love will be with him, and through My name his horn will be exalted.I will extend his power to the sea and his right hand to the rivers.He will call to Me,‘ You are my Father, my God, the rock of my salvation.’I will also make him My firstborn, greatest of the kings of the earth.I will always preserve My faithful love for him, and My covenant with him will endure.

Pay attention and come to Me; listen, so that you will live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, the promises assured to David.

“ Now this is what you are to say to My servant David:‘ This is what the Lord of Hosts says: I took you from the pasture and from following the sheep to be ruler over My people Israel.I have been with you wherever you have gone, and I have destroyed all your enemies before you. I will make a name for you like that of the greatest in the land.

For Your faithful love for me is great, and You deliver my life from the depths of Sheol.
