孑遺無依之寡婦、惟天主是賴、晝夜恆於祈禱、

寡婦守節、而一無倚靠者、必能一心仰望天主、恆常祈禱、不舍晝夜。

我愿你们无所挂虑。没有娶妻子的人，挂念的是主的事，想怎样去得主喜悦；

因为古时仰望神的圣洁妇女，正是这样装饰自己，顺服丈夫，

如果信主的妇女家中有寡妇，她就应该救济她们，不要让教会受累。这样，教会就可以救济那些无依无靠的寡妇了。

耶稣对他们讲一个比喻，论到人必须常常祈祷，不可灰心。

你们中间谁是敬畏耶和华，听从他仆人的声音的？谁是行在黑暗中，没有亮光的呢？他该倚靠耶和华的名，依赖他的神。

那时你心里必说：‘我既丧子，又不能生育；我是被掳的，又是被放逐在外的，谁给我生了这些孩子呢？谁把这些孩子养大呢？看哪！我独自一人被撇下，这些孩子是从哪里来的呢？’”

看哪！神是我的拯救；我要倚靠他，并不惧怕，因为耶和华神是我的力量，我的诗歌，他也成了我的拯救。”

他从高天降火，使火进入我的骨头里（按照《马索拉文本》，“他从高天降火，使火进入我的骨头里”作“他从高天降火进入我的骨头里，他管理火”；现参照《七十士译本》翻译）。他设置网罗绊我的脚，使我退去。他使我孤单凄凉，终日愁烦。

锡安的城门必悲哀哭号，锡安被掠夺，成了一片荒凉后，必坐在地上。

难道神不会为昼夜呼吁他的选民伸冤吗？难道神会耽误他们吗？

不能生育、没有生养过孩子的啊！你要欢呼。没有生产过的啊！你要发声欢呼，高声呼喊。因为弃妇比有夫之妇有更多儿子。这是耶和华说的。

藉着各样的祷告和祈求，随时在圣灵里祈祷，并且要在这事上恒久警醒，为众圣徒祈求。

我们十二支派昼夜切切地事奉神，都是盼望这应许实现。王啊，我被犹太人控告，正是为了这个盼望。

他必用自己的羽毛遮盖你，你要投靠在他的翅膀底下；他的信实像盾牌，像坚垒。

愿耶和华照你所作的报答你；你来投靠在耶和华以色列神的翅膀下，愿他充充足足酬报你。”

这样他就分心了。没有结婚的妇女和守独身的女子，挂念的是主的事，好让身体和心灵都成为圣洁；但结了婚的妇女是为世上的事挂虑，想怎样去讨丈夫的欢心。

也使我在你们中间，藉着你我彼此的信心，大家一同得到安慰。

其实自从创世以来，神那看不见的事，就如他永恒的大能和神性，都是看得见的，就是从他所造的万物中可以领悟，叫人没有办法推诿。因为他们虽然知道神，却不尊他为神，也不感谢他，反而心思变为虚妄，愚顽的心就迷糊了。

我们从他领受了恩典和使徒的职分，在万族中使人因他的名相信而顺服，
