We know that the law is good if one uses it properly.

The law of Jehovah is perfect, restoring the soul: The testimony of Jehovah is sure, making wise the simple.The precepts of Jehovah are right, rejoicing the heart: The commandment of Jehovah is pure, enlightening the eyes.The fear of Jehovah is clean, enduring for ever: The ordinances of Jehovah are true, and righteous altogether.More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the droppings of the honeycomb.

And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

I have seen an end of all perfection; But thy commandment is exceeding broad.Oh how love I thy law! It is my meditation all the day.Thy commandments make me wiser than mine enemies; For they are ever with me.I have more understanding than all my teachers; For thy testimonies are my meditation.I understand more than the aged, Because I have kept thy precepts.I have refrained my feet from every evil way, That I might observe thy word.I have not turned aside from thine ordinances; For thou hast taught me.How sweet are thy words unto my taste! And if also a man contend in the games, he is not crowned, except he have contended lawfully.

Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could make alive, verily righteousness would have been of the law.

Thou camest down also upon mount Sinai, and spakest with them from heaven, and gavest them right ordinances and true laws, good statutes and commandments,

Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples, that shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.For what great nation is there, that hath a god so nigh unto them, as Jehovah our God is whensoever we call upon him?And what great nation is there, that hath statutes and ordinances so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?
