God’s will is for you to be holy, so stay away from all sexual sin.

It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality;

God wants you to be made holy. He wants you to stay away from sexual sins.

For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality;

For this is God’s will, your sanctification: that you keep away from sexual immorality,

For this is the will of God, your sanctification; that is, that you abstain from sexual immorality;

For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality;

For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye abstain from fornication;

For this is God’s will, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality,

For this is the will of God,[ even] your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:

For this is God’s will: that you become holy, that you keep away from sexual immorality,

For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality,

You won’t spend the rest of your lives chasing your own desires, but you will be anxious to do the will of God.

Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again.

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.

Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people.Obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes— these are not for you. Instead, let there be thankfulness to God.You can be sure that no immoral, impure, or greedy person will inherit the Kingdom of Christ and of God. For a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.

Give honor to marriage, and remain faithful to one another in marriage. God will surely judge people who are immoral and those who commit adultery.

Then each of you will control his own body and live in holiness and honor—

So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.

When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures,

Make them holy by your truth; teach them your word, which is truth.Just as you sent me into the world, I am sending them into the world.And I give myself as a holy sacrifice for them so they can be made holy by your truth.

“ Not everyone who calls out to me,‘ Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter.

Try to please them all the time, not just when they are watching you. As slaves of Christ, do the will of God with all your heart.

As for us, we can’t help but thank God for you, dear brothers and sisters loved by the Lord. We are always thankful that God chose you to be among the first to experience salvation— a salvation that came through the Spirit who makes you holy and through your belief in the truth.

I take joy in doing your will, my God, for your instructions are written on my heart.”

You say,“ Food was made for the stomach, and the stomach for food.”( This is true, though someday God will do away with both of them.) But you can’t say that our bodies were made for sexual immorality. They were made for the Lord, and the Lord cares about our bodies.And God will raise us from the dead by his power, just as he raised our Lord from the dead.Don’t you realize that your bodies are actually parts of Christ? Should a man take his body, which is part of Christ, and join it to a prostitute? Never!And don’t you realize that if a man joins himself to a prostitute, he becomes one body with her? For the Scriptures say,“ The two are united into one.”But the person who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with him.Run from sexual sin! No other sin so clearly affects the body as this one does. For sexual immorality is a sin against your own body.

“ But cowards, unbelievers, the corrupt, murderers, the immoral, those who practice witchcraft, idol worshipers, and all liars— their fate is in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”

For from the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, all sexual immorality, theft, lying, and slander.

But because there is so much sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman should have her own husband.

Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality,or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people— none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God.Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

God the Father knew you and chose you long ago, and his Spirit has made you holy. As a result, you have obeyed him and have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ. May God give you more and more grace and peace.

to open their eyes, so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God. Then they will receive forgiveness for their sins and be given a place among God’s people, who are set apart by faith in me.’

Then Jesus explained:“ My nourishment comes from doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing his work.

Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing.

Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.

Instead, we should write and tell them to abstain from eating food offered to idols, from sexual immorality, from eating the meat of strangled animals, and from consuming blood.

Yes, I am afraid that when I come again, God will humble me in your presence. And I will be grieved because many of you have not given up your old sins. You have not repented of your impurity, sexual immorality, and eagerness for lustful pleasure.

But now you are free from the power of sin and have become slaves of God. Now you do those things that lead to holiness and result in eternal life.

Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.

Anyone who does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother!”

“ And now I entrust you to God and the message of his grace that is able to build you up and give you an inheritance with all those he has set apart for himself.

When I wrote to you before, I told you not to associate with people who indulge in sexual sin.But I wasn’t talking about unbelievers who indulge in sexual sin, or are greedy, or cheat people, or worship idols. You would have to leave this world to avoid people like that.I meant that you are not to associate with anyone who claims to be a believer yet indulges in sexual sin, or is greedy, or worships idols, or is abusive, or is a drunkard, or cheats people. Don’t even eat with such people.

God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin.

Outside the city are the dogs— the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idol worshipers, and all who love to live a lie.

Epaphras, a member of your own fellowship and a servant of Christ Jesus, sends you his greetings. He always prays earnestly for you, asking God to make you strong and perfect, fully confident that you are following the whole will of God.

Make sure that no one is immoral or godless like Esau, who traded his birthright as the firstborn son for a single meal.

He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.

Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, quarreling, deception, malicious behavior, and gossip.

may he equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to him. All glory to him forever and ever! Amen.

So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding.
