彼時號令一出。總領天神一呼、天主之號角一鳴、主乃自天降臨、而已亡之信徒、既先復活；

因为主必亲自从天降临，有呼叫的声音和天使长的声音，又有神的号吹响；那在基督里死了的人必先复活。

因为，召集令一发，天使长的呼声一叫，上帝的号角一吹，主必亲自从天降临；那在基督里死了的人必先复活，

蓋主將以大呼、與天使長之聲、及上帝之角、自天而降、則宗基督而死者必先起、

至上天使、大聲而呼、吹上帝角時、主由天降、前宗基督死者心先甦、

蓋天使長大聲呼號、吹天主角時、主必由天而降、則信基督而死者、必先復活、

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

觀哉、彼駕雲而降矣！凡屬有目、皆當瞻仰；即曩日手釘耶穌於十字架者亦將見之；天下萬族、咸將為之拊膺痛哭。斯言必應、心焉祝之。

我且示爾以神聖之秘密：吾人不必盡死、惟必須盡化。其時乃當最後號角之鳴、瞬息之間耳。蓋號角一鳴、則死者復活、不能復朽、而吾眾盡化矣。

惟此中亦各按其序：基督實為先薦之果、而信奉基督者之復活、則有待乎基督之重臨；

至是、人子之標幟、見於中天。時率土眾民、咸將哀泣、見人子威靈顯赫駕雲而降、遣天神吹角、發音洪亮、集簡選之人於四方、自天此極、至天彼極。

人子必當於厥父光榮之中、率眾天神以臨、按人之行、施人以報。

爾今遭受困辱、天主必賜爾於主耶穌自天顯示之日、與吾儕同受康寧；公義所在、有不得不然者焉。主之臨也、將有無數大能天神衛之、

當人子偕諸天神、威靈顯赫、駕雲而降也、將坐於尊位、

『加利利人乎、胡為木立而視天、爾曹親見耶穌昇天、來日渠之降臨亦復如是。』

更為吾族。保定基業。以光雅谷。以昭慈臆。

此為首次復活。其餘死者之復活、則有待乎千載之後。得親嘗首次復活者、福矣、聖矣！若而人者、不復受二次死亡之管轄、且得為天主及基督之司鐸、而與之同王於千秋。

昔總領天神彌額爾與魔鬼奪摩西屍體也、猶且不敢擅作威福、加以無謂之凌辱、僅曰：『願主責爾』而已。

耶穌曰：『爾言之矣。第予告爾、爾將見人子坐於全能者之右、自天駕雲而降。』

關於吾主耶穌基督重臨、及吾人與之團聚之事、

雖然、主日之臨、必突如其來、有若不速之客焉。當時諸天訇然而逝、物質之元素、溶解於烈火之中。大地及所載之萬彙、悉皆焚化。

時見一鷹飛於中天、大聲而啼曰：「禍哉、禍哉、禍哉！地上之居民也。尚有三位天神、將吹其角焉。」

又聞一音發自天上曰：『書之：此後庇主之蔭而死者、洵為有福。聖神曰：「誠哉、若輩必得釋其勞苦、而永享安寧；以若輩平生功德常隨其身。」』

值主日、我正凝思出神、忽聞大聲於我後、如吹角曰：
