According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.

This agrees with what the Lord has said. When the Lord comes, many of us will still be alive. We tell you that we will certainly not go up before those who have died.

For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep.

And we who are living will also be transformed.For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies.

We know that God, who raised the Lord Jesus, will also raise us with Jesus and present us to himself together with you.

O Lord, I cry out to you. I will keep on pleading day by day.

I rise early, before the sun is up; I cry out for help and put my hope in your words.I stay awake through the night, thinking about your promise.

After all, what gives us hope and joy, and what will be our proud reward and crown as we stand before our Lord Jesus when he returns? It is you!

For the Lord gave me this command:‘ You must not eat or drink anything while you are there, and do not return to Judah by the same way you came.’”But the old prophet answered,“ I am a prophet, too, just as you are. And an angel gave me this command from the Lord:‘ Bring him home with you so he can have something to eat and drink.’” But the old man was lying to him.

For the Lord gave me this command:‘ You must not eat or drink anything while you are there, and do not return to Judah by the same way you came.’”

Meanwhile, the Lord instructed one of the group of prophets to say to another man,“ Hit me!” But the man refused to hit the prophet.

At the Lord’s command, a man of God from Judah went to Bethel, arriving there just as Jeroboam was approaching the altar to burn incense.

“ Yes, he does,” Peter replied. Then he went into the house. But before he had a chance to speak, Jesus asked him,“ What do you think, Peter? Do kings tax their own people or the people they have conquered?”

Who has given me anything that I need to pay back? Everything under heaven is mine.

But Micaiah replied,“ As surely as the Lord lives, I will say only what the Lord tells me to say.”

You came back to this place and ate and drank where he told you not to eat or drink. Because of this, your body will not be buried in the grave of your ancestors.”
